Armageddon – something to fear?

This has to be given some thought because the answer is both Yes and No!. The reason is who side you are on.

One thing unites world governments

Governments perceive that Armageddon is the ultimate War that destroys the earth, yet that is not an accurate understanding of the scriptures.

The final book of the New Testament – The Revelation written to John or known by many as The Apocalypse chapter 16 and verse 16 reads “And they gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew Har-magedon”

Lets ask the obvious question who is the “they” referred to in this text? Let’s begin with the context John sees bowls of denunciation and judgement poured out in sequence, the War spoken of is the climax of the sixth bowl.

Therefore, lets begin with the out pouring of that bowl, Revelation 16: 12 “And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.”

We know fro9m the overall context of the visions these events were to occur in a period identified as the “last days” or as many like to refer to them as “end times”. Therefore, the information is not literal, we are not to expect that suddenly the River Euphrates will stop flowing, rather this refers to the state of humanity and the attachment to religion and faith. The Great River Euphrates ran through Babylon and we are witnessing the number of those who claim to have a faith dry up. Also, as a Political power we are watching Governments struggle to convince their fellow citizens that they have the best solution. Therefore, as the water and seas are often a reference to the state of Humankind we are looking at the evidence today of dwindling support for the established way of life.

That seems quite simple but note the next part of the prophetic vision Revelation 16: 13 “And I saw three unclean inspired expressions that looked like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the wild beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Okay, so we have three protagonists in this part of the vision, these have already been identified in the earlier parts of “The Dragon” in chapter 12 is Satan the Devil and he has positioned himself against God’s Kingdom. The other characters are linked to the authority he has given them as he rules the world 1 John 5: 19.

Looking at their single purpose “they go out to the kings of the entire inhabited earth, to gather them together to the war of the great day of God the Almighty.”

Armageddon is a war led by Satan, using human rulers to fight against God’s Kingdom. What do you think the outcome will be. Revelation 17 begins with the destruction of the Harlot or world religion – the rulers of the world will take the lead in this

Revelation 18 : 4 “And I heard another voice out of heaven say: “Get out of her, my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues.” So we know we can escape that part of the destruction or the war that is coming.

Revelation 19 reminds us that salvation is with God, the one fighting as Champion against the Devil is identified – the invincible warrior king Jesus Christ. Then note Revelation 19: 19 “And I saw the wild beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the one seated on the horse and against his army.20 And the wild beast was caught, and along with it the false prophet that performed in front of it the signs with which he misled those who received the mark of the wild beast and those who worship its image. While still alive, they both were hurled into the fiery lake that burns with sulfur.21 But the rest were killed off with the long sword that proceeded out of the mouth of the one seated on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.” Human rulers and those who follow them cannot be victorious because they are fighting against God. So Armageddon is a moment in time when Human Rulers turn their attention to removing all of those who follow God’s Kingdom. They align themselves with the invisible Satanic creatures who are ensuring they are destroyed.

Revelation 20 and 21 explain that those on the side of God’s Kingdom will survive, it also describes the resurrection of the dead and the final war between invisible creatures.

We are involved. Satan taunted Jehovah that like Job we only serve God for what we get out of it. However, the survivors answer that challenge with the critical words in Revelation 19:1After this I heard what seemed to be a loud voice of a great crowd in heaven. They said: “Praise Jah! The salvation and the glory and the power belong to our God,2 because his judgments are true and righteous. For he has executed judgment on the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality, and he has avenged the blood of his slaves that is on her hands.”3 And right away for the second time they said: “Praise Jah! And the smoke from her goes on ascending forever and ever.”

Honest Government

The weeks roll by and the political powers limp from one crisis to the next. Socialist, Conservative, Autocracy, Federal, Globalist and Human theocracy they all struggle and will continue to struggle. There is one critical point that they all have in common – a shared flaw Psalm 146: 3 “Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. 4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.” [KJV] No matter how well intentioned they fail to deliver the dream because they die.

Then we have the words of Ecclesiastes 8: 9 “All this have I seen, and applied my heart unto every work that is done under the sun: there is a time wherein one man ruleth over another to his own hurt” [KJV]

What can we learn from Jesus and how he spoke of leaders?

Let’s start with Luke 22: 24 And it came to pass that there was a rivalry also among them, as to which of them seemed to be greater [than the rest]. [Rotherham] Jesus had explained to his Apostles and Disciples that in his Kingdom they would be rulers, Kings! Therefore, the contention was who would be the first or greatest amongst them, the leader. Now Jesus responded with something that is at the heart of true equality in Government when he continued to say in Luke 22: 25 And he said unto them—The kings of the nations lord it over them, And they who wield authority over them benefactors are called.26 But ye not so! On the contrary—The greater among you Let him become as the younger, And he that governeth As he that ministereth, [Rotherham]

Jesus was amongst them and serving them, they had already acknowledged him as the Messiah, the Crown of David had passed to him. The equivalent of King Charles III serving food to the guests at a banquet, today it wouldn’t happen and yet Jesus was stating clearly that is the role of those who have the responsibility. There is a work, to meet the needs of the subjects of that Kingdom.

Honest Government requires leaders that serve. That is clear, but what about the subjects?

Again the scriptures are very clear. Let’s start with Ecclesiastes 12: 13 The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole obligation of man. [RNWT]

What did Jesus emphasise? First Matthew 22: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”37 He said to him: “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’38 This is the greatest and first commandment.39 The second, like it, is this: ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets.” [RNWT]

So the love of god is required and this is explained in 1 John 5: 3 For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome,[RNWT]

So we are required to keep God’s commandment’s – a basic set of rules to live by. There’s no ambiguity or personal interpretation we need to follow the course Jesus did, subject ourselves to God.

We won’t need to fight wars, crime will be a thing of history, prejudice and hatred will be cast away. James the Brother of Jesus made this point James 1: 26 If any man thinks he is a worshipper of God but does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he is deceiving his own heart, and his worship is futile.27 The form of worship that is clean and undefiled from the standpoint of our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their tribulation, and to keep oneself without spot from the world. [RNWT]

We need to examine ourselves against that bible standard for example, James 2: 14 Of what benefit is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but he does not have works? That faith cannot save him, can it?15 If any brothers or sisters are lacking clothing and enough food for the day,16 yet one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but you do not give them what they need for their body, of what benefit is it?17 So, too, faith by itself, without works, is dead. [RNWT] Do my works indicate that I am searching for Honest Government? If it is clear that God’s Government is the only Honest Government am I prepared to change or will it have to change to my standards?

Putting the needs of others first seems to be odd when we talk of Jehovah God, the way religions represent him and what they teach about Hell and eternal punishment, the immortality of the soul, how the dead can haunt the living, that God supports one country or religious group over another as the whim takes him. This is not the God of the Bible.

Consider this one scripture John 3: 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [KJV] then ask is this consistent with the teaching of superiority in Human Government.

Now is the right time to search for Jehovah God. To study his word the Bible and to start living up to our commitment as Christians to follow the Christ and keep those commandments. No watering down and no personal views let the Bible speak.

The Silent Majority

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing,” Although not attributed now the quote describes the state of our society today.

2 Timothy 3: 1 “But know this, that in the last days difficult times will come on;2 for men will be selfish, money-mad, pretentious, proud, scurrilous, disobedient to parents, thankless, graceless, loveless, implacable, slanderers, slaves of appetite, ferocious, disinclined to goodness, traitorous, headstrong, conceited, more devoted to pleasure than to God, having a formulation of piety but denying its efficacy; eschew these too”

We see and accept these traits in those around us, honesty speaks in many cases where we can look at ourselves and say “Yes, to some degree that applies to me”.

Does that mean we have to be silent?

Are we compelled to refrain from being critical because we don’t match up perfectly?

Both questions establish a clear basis to look at who we are as an individual. The Apostle Paul made this statement at Romans 7: 21 “I find, then, this law in my case: When I wish to do what is right, what is bad is present with me.22 I really delight in the law of God according to the man I am within,23 but I see in my body another law warring against the law of my mind and leading me captive to sin’s law that is in my body.24 Miserable man that I am! Who will rescue me from the body undergoing this death?25 Thanks to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So, then, with my mind I myself am a slave to God’s law, but with my flesh to sin’s law.”

We battle against one law and promote another. Therefore, when we know something is wrong we know we should make our stand.

Notice how the Apostle Peter brings this to our attention 1 Peter 5: 9 “But take your stand against him, firm in the faith, knowing that the same kind of sufferings are being experienced by the entire association of your brothers in the world.”

See things for what they are as described by Jesus half brothers James and Jude first in James 3: 15 “This is not the wisdom that comes down from above; it is earthly, animalistic, demonic” and Jude 18 “how they used to say to you: “In the last time there will be ridiculers, following their own desires for ungodly things.”19 These are the ones who cause divisions, animalistic men, not having spirituality.”

We live in countries that claim they are established on their tenets of faith but because those with faith fail to take a stand publicly the lines between acceptable and unacceptable behaviour Isaiah stated at Isaiah 5: 20 “Woe to those who say that good is bad and bad is good, Those who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, Those who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!”

In the scripture quoted in the post from the letter of 2 Timothy 3: 5 “having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away.” Godliness or piety is diluted and corrupted. Religious Leaders are allowing things to happen in their own place of worship that the Bible condemns, for example, remember that to be a Christian you have to follow the Christ. He instructed his Apostles to replace their swords and made it clear those who live by the sword are not his followers. A simple yet powerful position. Christians must accept that Jesus Christ is the leader and that he has the right to set the standards. To a Christian we must make the voice of truth known, explain what is acceptable but never deceive those who supplant evil for good. Their standard for God’s.

If the figures are correct from the census there are more Christians in the UK and US and yet evil continues to triumph because they fail to take their stand.

This isn’t a call to arms or collective action, because we stand up on own – one voice advocating God’s Kingdom in the hands of Jesus Christ. Others may stand with us but we must be prepared to stand alone. Jesus demonstrated how that has to be done.

Never lose sight of the promise that God is making all things new through his Kingdom. Take the time to study the bible, get to know Jehovah and give voice to what is right.

The Failure of Religion

This week, the 24th May 2022, after being sentenced to 6 years in prison in Russia Denis Christensen was released from a Russian prison.

His offence? he was labelled an extremist and dangerous to the State of Russia, I enjoyed reading one description of him a “passive terrorist”, call it what you will this is a contradiction in terms.

He had paid his taxes, kept the laws of the land, however, his faith made him an enemy of the state. This stance was promoted by the Russian Orthodox Church leaders.

Why is this simply echoing the position of other religious movements? Jesus taught his followers to love one another, although singled out for persecution by the religious leaders of his day he didn’t say to his disciples campaign to stop them, or become involved in the political system to protect your own interests.

The principle that guides Jehovah’s Witnesses globally reflects the words of the Apostles who are recorded as saying at Acts 5: 29 “In answer Peter and the other apostles said: “We must obey God as ruler rather than men”

At Jesus death the religious leaders aligned themselves with the state and the same applies today. Religions and the Political infrastructure are linked. For example in China the Communist Party now have a say in the appointment of Catholic Bishops.

In the UK Parliament Religious Leaders sit in the House of Lords, spend time criticizing the Government but what did Jesus advocate? Matthew 6: 33 “Keep on, then, seeking first the Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these other things will be added to you.

Which Kingdom? Matthew 6: 9 “You must pray, then, this way: “‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified.10 Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth.11 Give us today our bread for this day;12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.13 And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the wicked one.’” God’s Kingdom.

Religions around the world fail to point to this the only hope of salvation. Using their political influence to silence and obstruct those who make it plain, we are not in control of our destiny we need external support and Jesus died for us to get that support.

So remember the words James 4: 4 “Adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God”

We are no part of the political system as Christians because we promote God’s Kingdom ruled by Jesus Christ. The countries we live in are just places to be, and supporting the religious movement of nationalism is evidence of Religion forming and alliance with those who will battle against God’s Kingdom. Religion is described in Revelation as a Harlot riding on a wild beast who will be destroyed by that beast. It is really worth examining whether we are part of the wild beast, the harlot or those whom they wage war against.

Prayerfully consider where we want to be on God’s side on going down with the billions of followers of false religion.

Jesus made it clear when he said at Matthew 7: 13 “Go in through the narrow gate, because broad is the gate and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are going in through it;14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are finding it.

If we find it easy to be a Christian today, if we discover our views are popular with those around us then we need to examine which gate we have accessed and turn around if we need to.

This means everlasting life – getting to KNOW God and Jesus Christ

The time left is very short so examine the bible for ourselves and don’t let religions drag us into a war with God by opposing those who serve him faithfully.

We rejoice in the release of someone faithful and remember all of those who continue to be persecuted by the state supported by the religious leaders, this include Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Communism and Nationalism

Let the truth of the Bible set us free and may we live forever because of the sacrifice that Jesus made on our behalf.

“The undeserved kindness of our Lord Jesus Christ be with the spirit you show, brothers. Amen.”

The Son of God

John 3: 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Appears on the billboards of Christian Churches across the globe.

Those who accept the Trinity and those who understand the expression “only begotten Son” as a direct reference to the separateness of the two.

The Apostle John is often quoted as the source of the Trinitarian doctrine, however, when I first read Alexander Hislop’s “The Two Babylons” it took moments to realize that this doctrine was adopted from Eastern Religions in the 4th Century AD.

Jesus is clearly identified by the Apostle as the Son of God and he comes in the role of the “Son of Man” why?

Well, John explains in the following verses John 3: 17 “For God did not send his Son into the world for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him.18 Whoever exercises faith in him is not to be judged. Whoever does not exercise faith has been judged already, because he has not exercised faith in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.” How we acknowledge Jesus’ role in God’s purpose for humankind explains what outcome we can expect.

Exercise Faith

Faith in what? Verse 14 clearly helps us to understand his role “14 And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so the Son of man must be lifted up,15 so that everyone believing in him may have everlasting life.”

The copper serpent in the wilderness was raised and those afflicted by the plague affecting the nation were required to look at the serpent, understanding that this would provide relief. What a simple message – look at the figure and you’ll be healed. But is that what was required? No those Israelites had to believe that the serpent would be used by Jehovah God to heal them, restore their relationship with him.

So how is the sacrifice of Jesus’ life like that serpent? Jesus was raised up before the world as the ransom for humankind, our sin and our separation from God. So those looking at Christ would have to recognise that specific role, he is the ransom the price paid for our sins.

Is it too much to ask?

As restrictions are lifted surrounding COVID19 we see many reactions, some describing it as liberating, others saying it is irresponsible but insisting on their rights. Recently, going into a retail outlet I was asked to wear a mask, I complied because it made others comfortable and there wasn’t any ventilation at the back of the shop. The person who followed me in refused to comply and the shop owner refuse to let the person in.

Was it too much to ask the person who refused to wear a mask and use a hand sanitiser to follow the infection control measures? Not at all! All of the circumstances taken into account the shop owner was thinking of everyone.

Now when Jehovah God made the provision for us to be reconciled to him he required that we acknowledge his Son Jesus, he stipulated we had to extend our faith to include the value of Jesus’ sacrifice because through it we are potentially in line for salvation. Nothing complex in that.

Through our faith in the value of Jesus’ ransom sacrifice, we are demonstrating that we exercise faith in God’s Kingdom and the opportunity for salvation.

Ensuring we acknowledge that the son exists in his own right and is not a person in the trinity is essential. Note the words of John 17: 3 This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.4 I have glorified you on the earth, having finished the work you have given me to do.5 So now, Father, glorify me at your side with the glory that I had alongside you before the world was. and again in verse 25 Righteous Father, the world has, indeed, not come to know you, but I know you, and these have come to know that you sent me.26 I have made your name known to them and will make it known, so that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in union with them.”

Jehovah God gave credit to his son for the gift of the ransom that Jesus gave therefore, God raised him up, accepted the value of his sacrifice and by our personal faith in that ransom sacrifice we can live and enjoy a relationship with our heavenly father.

So 1 John 5: 3 “For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome,4 because everyone who has been born from God conquers the world. And this is the conquest that has conquered the world, our faith.”

The conclusion is that “those who believeth in him” will gain everlasting life because God raised Jesus to be the symbol of salvation in our modern wilderness, the only means we have to exercise faith in Jehovah God is to acknowledge the role of his son who became the “Son of Man” to give his life as a ransom in exchange for many.

Is it reasonable to ask that we continue to search for what we know and understand about Jesus, separating him from the Godhead of false Christianity? “Know the truth and the truth will set you free”.

“Though your sins are like scarlet”

Isaiah 1: 18 is a reminder to all of us that we do make serious mistakes. That although these may just be too big for us to see past and yet as described God is looking to erase those sins.

We have Bible accounts that demonstrate his capacity to forgive, they serve as a reminder of the words of the Apostle John wrote at 1John 3: 20 “regarding whatever our hearts may condemn us in, because God is greater than our hearts and knows all things.”

Forgiveness through a Sacrifice

Once our first family members had chosen to remove themselves from the support and guidance the creator/maker had provided things started to go downhill.

Often this has been likened to when we switch off a fan and it takes some time for the blades to stop rotating. We are close to the complete standstill.

So we needed to reconnect to the power source – to the creator but we had changed the plug. This was when God came to our rescue, providing the promise of the connection through a mediator Jesus Christ.

“Washed in the Blood of the Lamb”

We identify those who become connected to God through Christ when we look at Revelation 7: 9 “After this I saw, and look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands.10 And they keep shouting with a loud voice, saying: “Salvation we owe to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

The Angel explains who these ones are to John in Revelation 7: 13 “In response one of the elders said to me: “These who are dressed in the white robes, who are they and where did they come from?”14 So right away I said to him: “My lord, you are the one who knows.” And he said to me: “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.15 That is why they are before the throne of God, and they are rendering him sacred service day and night in his temple; and the One seated on the throne will spread his tent over them.”

John uses the expression “Great tribulation” here just as Jesus did to provide the sign of his second coming. It is evident that these survivors are in a special relationship with Christ so they worship the one on the throne because of Jesus.

So Salvation is through the Blood of the Christ. This is something we need to know more about. How does Jesus’ life, ministry, death and resurrection address our need and restore us to that original relationship with God?

Every year Jesus disciples – yes Christians who follow the pattern Jesus set, meet to commemorate his death and review why this one takes away the sins of the world though they be scarlet because through his death we can wash or cleanse ourselves to enjoy the glorious freedom of the children of God.

The promise is that we see God’s Name Jehovah sanctified and his rightful position as the one worthy of worship and praise vindicated. The reward for those who do is to “Enjoy Life Forever”

Pathway is clear for those who understand the sacrifice

The message

Having read many books about and observed the interest in communication with extraterestrials I have found it interesting that the Bible isn’t reviewed from that standpoint.

For example, the evidence of alien encounters has led to many strange accounts, pictographs and of course personal stories. We always expect the technology and intellect to be more advanced.

To establish the point read most Science Fiction. However, lets look at the expectation that the visitor would tell us something humans didn’t know long before they became aware of it.

The Earth

Isaiah 40: 22 “There is One who dwells above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers. He is stretching out the heavens like a fine gauze, And he spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.” Key word is circle, simple in its statement but way ahead of contemporary thinking.

Job 26: 7 “He stretches out the northern sky over empty space, Suspending the earth upon nothing;” Science and the church taught something different.

We can find a description of the water cycle, that rivers fill the oceans and that there is a complete series of natural cycles that only science from the 18th century has determined.

I would expect that in a message from space!

The scientific advancement of civilisations doesn’t diminish the accuracy, it is just explained simply.

Look at the Stars, come closer to home and look at ourselves. The Bible reflects that every detail of a person is recorded from the embryo and yet people challenge the idea that God would communicate with humans so simply. So ask yourself if someone had put forward that light had components, it could be refracted, carry data and destroy rust 200 years ago the person would have been laughed out of the scientific community.

Humans and God

Humanity has searched for intelligent life in space thinking we were reaching out to it before it reached out to us. The reality is they were searching on their terms.

God had already reached out, had shown that he is willing to let us get to know him and see the whole truth about where we live, what life is about and of course what our future holds.

Now humans were subject to futility, we are born, we live for a while, form relationships, dream and plan but all too soon we get old, sicken and die.

We were not there when that began to happen but the message from God exlained the cause of the futility, explained why we want to live a long time, achieve more and how that wasn’t a dream, it was stolen from us.

The Restoration

I was born with a lung disease – the Doctors can tell me what it is, they can describe the impact but can not predict what will happen next, they just treat the condition today.

The issue is that they know what it is but not what it will become. The limited skills. However, Jehovah God explains through the Bible that we can identify the cause of our condition, he has given us access to the best tools to live with the condition until the remedy is ready. It is a bit like the COVID19 pandemic the government knew a vaccine would manage the impact of the pandemic but it wasn’t the cure.

Jehovah didn’t stop wit hthe treatment, he extended it to the restoration of the original human condition. That is the bible’s message.

Not how humans fell into sin and were separated from God rather that even in the condition we could become reconciled to God, restore our hhealth and start learning about something better.

Daniel 2: 44 “In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever,” A kingdom that will end corrupt government and will stand for universal justice set to God’sstandards.

Jesus made thsat Kingdom the theme of his Ministry – Matthew 24: 14 “the Good news of the kingdom” Matthew 6: 9, 10 he encouraged us to pray for “God’s Kingdom”, he emphasised the benefits of that Kingdom.

So the message was recieved thousands of years ago, the events of history and current incidents continue to demonstrate the accuracy of the Bible account.

Jesus explained how to benefit from it when and John 17: 3 he encouraged us to get to know God and the Christ. So that is the message, where do we start? First things first read all the message – so obtain a copy of the Bible in your own language where possible. Then review the message, test it for yourself and look at how we can apply the information.

Jesus explained once we understand it we are compelled to tell others that they need to search for the truth about the Good News of God’s Kingdom and why we can be certain that there is life beyond this planet.

Faith in Action Today

Fishermen and boat users attach precious things to ropes and chains in safe places knowing they can return to them.

Hebrews 2: 1 That is why it is necessary for us to pay more than the usual attention to the things heard by us, that we may never drift away.

Those who fail to moor effectively often return to find what they had is lost.

Find the truth about life and know that Faith is our secure Harbour an anchor in our life.

The Healing of the Nations – What is it?

Revelation 22: 1 “And he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, flowing out from the throne of God and of the Lamb2 down the middle of its main street. On both sides of the river were trees of life producing 12 crops of fruit, yielding their fruit each month. And the leaves of the trees were for the healing of the nations.”

The Bible Book of Revelation or Apocolypse is seen as the frightening end to the way humans have lived for thousands of years. With the death of the majority and only a great crowd surviving a war with God’s King and his Kingdom.

And yet – the content highlights that it isn’t that much longer and we will see an end to the things that our original parents brought us, our damaged relationship with God, therefore, sin, death through famine, disease, war, violence and natural disasters. All of these things are assured.

Prophesy fulfilled in our time

Speaking to the educated individual who has been taught question and accepts scepticism has proved the words of the Apostle Peter accurate for the time we live in because they lack understanding, accept what they hear and read in popular culture 2 Peter 3:3 “First of all know this, that in the last day’s ridiculers will come with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires4 and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep in death, all things are continuing exactly as they were from creation’s beginning.”

It reminded me of an incident linked to building, now a housing estate was built on flat land just outside a town in South West England. Nothing unusual there, however, the farmer who cultivated the land before he was forced to sell told the developer that although it didn’t it the site was prone to flooding.

He was laughed at because there were no recorded floods in over 100 years. But what the farmer knew, because he did it, was that the leat or drain had to be clear 3 times a year. Miss the first and the water table rises, the second and parts of the site become boggy and third pools of water appear, miss 10 and you have floods.

What has prevented God’s Kingdom from acting on our behalf to this date? Simple it wasn’t the prophesied last days – it wasn’t time for the Kingdom to act.

Unknown reality

We are told that God is a myth, cruel, doesn’t care or doesn’t exist, why? because the intellectuals and educated among us think he would make the truth difficult and complex, requiring their cleverness to unravel the mysteries.

But the truth is very simple, humanity is crashing onwards through time to its destruction at the same time we are destroying something we don’t understand – the planet.

How are humans who are discovering so many new things so confident they know what is really going on? We all look at things right now and recognise that there is an unseen hand manipulating events that are now falling into line with Bible Prophesy makes the promised healing of the nations important.

The Water from the Throne

The life-giving and refreshing water coming from the throne is a reason for hope and joy. We are told to drink it, once we have, invite others to partake and see the healing effects.

What does that water do? First, it cleanses us because we drop the false doctrines, religious practices and political affiliations we see God’s Kingdom ruled by Jesus Christ! Then we apply the characteristics that the truth of serving God brings, there are no borders and boundaries, humans did that to control.

Millions of lives are sacrificed to the God of Fortresses and those who send them to their deaths appear to be immune from the consequences of their actions.

However, Daniel 2 : 44 “In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever,

The healing of the nations has started, now is the time to throw off scepticism and begin to build an understanding of bible prophecy, ask the difficult questions because God’s word can stand that scrutiny. Let the Bible – God’s Word answer for itself, don’t confuse religion for truth or doctrine as something based on the bible. That is where the healing begins for each of us.

Jehovah God is drawing those to his word who want better things now and in the future. The choice for us is, do we drink of the water of life and experience the healing of the nations or do rush headlong into the ravine with the rest of the masses.

Where is the compassion?

Doesn’t it intrigue you, how one person can order the invasion of a country and thousands take up arms to follow that through?

I wonder how we would feel if we were told by someone we didn’t know to walk into the neighbours property and take it from them by force if necessary and with the ultimate sanction, take their lives?

If you stopped 100 people on the street and asked the question, what response would you get? I’m certain very few would just say yes, not a problem just say when.

War – isn’t the solution

War can be essential but it is never the solution. For example, the war at or of Armageddon isn’t the solution, rather it is the Government that follows in the hands of Jesus. We are ushered into a period of peace that will heal humanity.

So what happens to those in Russia who refuse to follow the political leadership, we know political adversaries are captured, imprisoned and occasionally killed. What of ordinary school teachers, municipal workers, welders and farmers?

In Russia those who stand out as different, who demonstrate true compassion for their neghbour they are labelled extremists, tried as anti-government terrorists, their property is seized, they are frequently imprisoned, they are no longer allowed to work and they are stripped of their human rights.

Compassion – is lacking

A love of life and of humanity means that we look at suffering and feel churned up, many prompted to give money and time to support displaced people thousands of miles away. Yet we continue to watch through the eyes of the media at situations where the ordinary people are caught in the crosshairs of government ego. This Satanic control has led to individuals putting their rights, their country and their fear of death ahead of the lives of others.

Think about Jesus – he felt pity for the crowd, he didn’t raise an army, he healed them, fed them, taught them and asked them to view carefully the options. Then he gave his life voluntarily so that billions could be saved.

Are their many leaders who are willing to save their people by giving their life? They may fight shoulder to shoulder but even when they are all gone no one is better off. Jesus’ legacy improved the lives of his followers and we have the chance to replicate this in our lives today.

Find out more about those prisoners of conscience – those who will not take up arms to further the objectives of the country’s leaders. They are ordinary people who have a deep faith and they exercise it everyday
