End of Suffering – the end to hatred

All over the earth, great trouble is caused by HATRED!.

We can be taught to hate others of different, races, skin tones, ethnicity, country, religion, political or social group, the list of differences that can be used as excuses for hatred seems to be unlimited.

The Cause of Hatred

The Bible identifies three major causes of hatred:

  • Satan the Devil. His corrupt, hate-fuelled world run by corrupt politicians and religious leaders exploits the reasons for hatred, whilst using inclusivity as a tool.
  • Our inherited weaknesses originated with our common ancestor Adam the father of those living. He began by willfully disobeying God, promoting his own selfish desire, this led to his son Abel being the first victim of envy and hatred when his brother Cain took his life.
  • Intolerance, our world fuels hatred by promoting specific personal “rights”, “freedoms” and inclusive practices. This attitude is harmful, promoting extreme behaviour, bullying, insulting speech and victimisation. Why? 1 John 5: 19 “but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” Identified as Satan the Devil, humans have allowed society to be driven by his corruption and hatred.

The Bible tells us the answer

It not only helps us to eliminate hatred from our lives now, but shows how in the near future hatred will be eliminated forever.

God’s Kingdom Government ruled by Jesus establishes a righteous government, focused on justice, love, peace and kindness.

The cause of Hatred has been removed and replaced with God’s righteous standards. The impact is confirmed in Psalm 72: 7 “In his days the righteous will flourish, And peace will abound until the moon is no more.” all of us will live in ideal conditions, all will show genuine love for neighbours and will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace (Psalms 37: 11 But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.)

Everlasting Life – Really?

“This means Everlasting Life” Jesus stated in John 17: 3 “their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.” A simple statement that conveys the hope Christians have.

But is it realistic to think in terms of living forever, never dying?

Ask yourself if you have good health, your circumstances are stable and you are living in security, what day would I choose to die. What age would be enough? Recently the world’s oldest person died at the age of 119, the quality of life had not improved over the last few years but they clung to life. Why? Ecclesiastes 3: 11 He [God] has made everything beautiful in its time. He has even put eternity in their heart; yet mankind will never find out the work that the true God has made from start to finish.

God put eternity in our hearts. So it is natural to want to live as long as we can.

The Bible explains why we don’t but it also explains why it is realistic to have the hope we can live forever. In Pauls letter to Titus he explains where that assurance is founded Titus 1: 2 “and is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago;

So God’s promise of everlasting life is solid because he can’t lie, his word is dependable we are confident it will come true.

What is Everlasting Life?

Everlasting life is different to immortality. It is dependant on our relationship with God. Let’s look at the beginning of the human family. When God placed Adam in the Garden of Eden he didn’t say that he should expect to die. He made the provision of the Tree of Life. Death was stated as a consequence of sin.

So Jesus helps us understand what everlasting life depends on in Matthew 4: 4 : “It is written: ‘Man must live, not on bread alone, but on every word that comes from Jehovah’s mouth.’” 7 “Jesus said to him: “Again it is written: ‘You must not put Jehovah your God to the test.’ and 10 “For it is written: ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’”

Ecclesiastes 12: 13 “The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole obligation of man.” expresses it this way.

So keeping Gods commandments, something that Adam failed to do is a step, also, we must ensure that we show reverential fear of God. Not to be afraid of God but to acknowledge and honour our creator.

So Everlasting Life is the outcome for those who follow God’s commandments, love him with a whole heart and soul. These ones make it their aim to follow in Jesus footsteps and what did he teach us to pray for?

Matthew 6: 9 You must pray, then, this way: “‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified.10 Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth.11 Give us today our bread for this day;12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.13 And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the wicked one.’14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you;15 whereas if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

This breaks up into the scantification of God’s Name, the Vindication of his rulership, his purpose to cover the whole universe and then the material things. Because as Jesus explains through the Sermon on the Mount, God cares for us, so our obligation is to seek first the kingdom.

Everlasting Life is the reward for faithful service.

How do we recieve that reward?

John 17: 3 explained there are steps we can take. Begin by getting to know God – not know there is a God but know the person and personality of God. How? Through the universe that encompasses our planet, the life on earth and the systems that renew the earth everyday.

The Bible as 1 Thessalonians 2: 13 “Indeed, that is why we also thank God unceasingly, because when you received God’s word, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but, just as it truthfully is, as the word of God, which is also at work in you believers.”

To do this effectively we need to study God’s Word, note the words of the Psalmist in Psalm 1: 2 But his delight is in the law of Jehovah, And he reads His law in an undertone day and night. By understand how individuals have drawn close to God and how Bible prophesy is fulfilled in the past and in our time we get to agree that God’s Word is reliable, trustworthy.

Your Everlasting Life depends on You

Throughout my life I have been lied to many times, I have believed false reporting (media, government, friends and family members). I am convinced that God’s Word the Bible is 100% accurate, our lives depend on how we respond to the message it contains so now is the time to act and start that journey.

Modern life is an impossible journey, there is no hope and things will only go from bad to worse, so stop pushing the boulder up the hill and embrace the truth because it leads to Everlasting Life. Where and when? Study the Bible with the Aid of “Enjoy Life Forever”

Stopping trying to do the futile tasks and find the truth of Gods Word the reward is everlasting life.

Beyond Redemption?

Are any of us beyond redemption? Surprisingly the answer is both yes and no! Because the choice is ours.

Jesus’ death provided the payment in full but there are those who are so attached to the captor that they have a form of Stockholm Syndrome.

2 Corinthians 4: 3 If, in fact, the good news we declare is veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing,4 among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.

The ruler of this world is successfully deceiving millions in thinking:

  1. there is no God
  2. there is no Devil
  3. Humans have no need for a ransom
  4. Humans are accountable only to history when they are long dead

The list could go on. What this demonstrates is like the first woman Eve – many have been deceived, enticed by the idea that a short lifespan without God is to be preferred over eternity.

The search begins with a reliable source of information

The Choice

Jesus explained what we are faced with when he is quoted at John 8: 44 “You are from your father the Devil, and you wish to do the desires of your father. That one was a murderer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of the lie.” Succumbing to the Devil’s propaganda sadly aligns us with his outcome.

How do you distinguish truth from lies? Personally, I look for a reliable source of information, cross-check the facts they refer to and establish the honesty and accuracy of the source.

It is simple to read or see something today and believe it. For example, millions were convinced that a face mask would not provide any protection for themselves or others from COVID19. The Government, Media, education, religion and science intentionally deceived the public because it was for the greater good. Being honest may have saved millions from infection and debilitating illness possibly death.

Yet this same set of sources explains that God forgives all and that he accepts all regardless of their behaviour.

What happens in a hostage situation where some of the hostages refuse to believe they are being liberated, often they side with the captors and lose what had been redeemed.

Consequently, we need to find accurate information about God, his purpose and why the ransom was paid. None of us is beyond redemption right now but we need to search for God, set matters straight with God, exercise faith in the Father of tender mercies and of course recognise that through Jesus’ death we have been set free.

So beautifully summed up by the writer of Ecclesiastes 12: 13 “The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole obligation of man.14 For the true God will judge every deed, including every hidden thing, as to whether it is good or bad.”

Act now to Enjoy Life Forever, find out more about the ransom and what it means for us and why it is the hostage that needs to make the change to benefit from the redemption.

One of the great deceptions used in WW2 was the fighting forces appeared to be in greater numbers because they ensured that their captives looked like the troops or militia, the human shield, is still used today, we need to accept that we could be part of that shield because we have no idea where we stand. Search for Truth because the Bible explains that salvation is not far from any of us.

Is Hell a place of torment?

Luke 16 introduces the Rich Man and Lazarus where in verse 23 “And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.” For many, this explains the difference between Heaven and Hell.

Jesus’ words are very clear, two locations separated by a chasm that cannot be breached or crossed. Hell is depicted as a place of torment. In the original Greek, this is translated as Hades the place of the dead which is translated from the Hebrew Sheol. Bible scholars agree that the meaning of the word is the “Grave” or “Pit”.

The condition of the Dead – Old Testament

The Douay Version of the Bible renders Ecclesiastes 9: 10 “Neither work, nor reason, nor wisdom, nor knowledge, shall be in hell.” and the words of the Psalmist in 31: 17 “Let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave [hell, Douay-Rheims].”

So a place of silence and no activity, Psalm 146: 3 “Do not put your trust in princes Nor in a son of man, who cannot bring salvation. 4 His spirit goes out, he returns to the ground; On that very day his thoughts perish.”

Ecclesiastes 9: 4 There is hope for whoever is among the living, because a live dog is better off than a dead lion.5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all, nor do they have any more reward, because all memory of them is forgotten.6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they no longer have any share in what is done under the sun.” is more specific they have no share. Consequently, we are instructed in verse 9 “Enjoy life with your beloved wife all the days of your futile life, which He has given you under the sun, all the days of your futility, for that is your lot in life and in your hard work at which you toil under the sun.10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave, where you are going.”

The conclusion to be drawn is – Death is the opposite of life, non-existence. Therefore, we are alive and breathing, we die ceasing to exist and our body is placed in the ground – a grave, pit, hades or hell.

What about the New Testament

Let’s start with a simple statement made by the Apostle Paul in Romans 6: 23 “The wages sin pays is death.” the consequence of death he explains in Romans 6: 7 “the one who has died has been acquitted from his sin.” Those who have died have paid the price for the sins of their life. Not a mention of torment.

The Gospels also explain that we are drawn to God by his love not fear of torment or punishment.

There is another point often lost on those who believe in hell and everlasting torment Acts 2:31: “He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell.”—King James Version. Meaning that Jesus Christ went to hell (the Grave) when he died. It is unthinkable to conclude that a righteous man would be tormented forever in Hell for sins he didn’t commit.

Hope for the those in Hell

Revelation 20: 13 “Death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them.”—King James Version. Therefore, all those in hell are dead. They will come back to life by means of the resurrection. So where will the torment continue? How could they pay a price, then be asked to pay more?

Eventually, hell will be destroyed according to Revelation 20: 14 “Death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.”—King James Version.

So Luke 16 cannot be referring to a literal place or people. It was a parable, a story with a meaning. Jesus was explaining the religious divide between the leaders in Israel and the ordinary people.

For the account to be literal it has to fit the theme of the bible which it doesn’t, therefore, we recognise that the Bible has never taught that Hell is a place of eternal torment because the dead know nothing, feel nothing and have paid for their sins. Jesus went into hell but was raised and he hadn’t experienced or deserved to be tormented. Finally, hell is to be destroyed in the future which enables us to conclude that the doctrine originated elsewhere.

When the apostasy set in many pagan beliefs moved into Christianity and polluted the truth. Job wanted to die and go to Hell, others prayed for death also and we know that God does not torment the righteous or the unrighteous.

So we need to find the truth of the Bible and allow the Truth to clear our thinking and set us free.

Jesus’ Life, Ministry, Death and resurrection teach us much about the love of God remember the words of John 3: 16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.17 For God did not send his Son into the world for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him.18 Whoever exercises faith in him is not to be judged. Whoever does not exercise faith has been judged already, because he has not exercised faith in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.” Also, part of that process is described in John 5: 25 “Most truly I say to you, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who have paid attention will live.26 For just as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted also to the Son to have life in himself.27 And he has given him authority to do judging, because he is the Son of man.28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.30 I cannot do a single thing of my own initiative. Just as I hear, I judge, and my judgment is righteous because I seek, not my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

Choose Life without end, everlasting life in Paradise is more than a dream it is a promise from God.

The Son of God

John 3: 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Appears on the billboards of Christian Churches across the globe.

Those who accept the Trinity and those who understand the expression “only begotten Son” as a direct reference to the separateness of the two.

The Apostle John is often quoted as the source of the Trinitarian doctrine, however, when I first read Alexander Hislop’s “The Two Babylons” it took moments to realize that this doctrine was adopted from Eastern Religions in the 4th Century AD.

Jesus is clearly identified by the Apostle as the Son of God and he comes in the role of the “Son of Man” why?

Well, John explains in the following verses John 3: 17 “For God did not send his Son into the world for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him.18 Whoever exercises faith in him is not to be judged. Whoever does not exercise faith has been judged already, because he has not exercised faith in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.” How we acknowledge Jesus’ role in God’s purpose for humankind explains what outcome we can expect.

Exercise Faith

Faith in what? Verse 14 clearly helps us to understand his role “14 And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so the Son of man must be lifted up,15 so that everyone believing in him may have everlasting life.”

The copper serpent in the wilderness was raised and those afflicted by the plague affecting the nation were required to look at the serpent, understanding that this would provide relief. What a simple message – look at the figure and you’ll be healed. But is that what was required? No those Israelites had to believe that the serpent would be used by Jehovah God to heal them, restore their relationship with him.

So how is the sacrifice of Jesus’ life like that serpent? Jesus was raised up before the world as the ransom for humankind, our sin and our separation from God. So those looking at Christ would have to recognise that specific role, he is the ransom the price paid for our sins.

Is it too much to ask?

As restrictions are lifted surrounding COVID19 we see many reactions, some describing it as liberating, others saying it is irresponsible but insisting on their rights. Recently, going into a retail outlet I was asked to wear a mask, I complied because it made others comfortable and there wasn’t any ventilation at the back of the shop. The person who followed me in refused to comply and the shop owner refuse to let the person in.

Was it too much to ask the person who refused to wear a mask and use a hand sanitiser to follow the infection control measures? Not at all! All of the circumstances taken into account the shop owner was thinking of everyone.

Now when Jehovah God made the provision for us to be reconciled to him he required that we acknowledge his Son Jesus, he stipulated we had to extend our faith to include the value of Jesus’ sacrifice because through it we are potentially in line for salvation. Nothing complex in that.

Through our faith in the value of Jesus’ ransom sacrifice, we are demonstrating that we exercise faith in God’s Kingdom and the opportunity for salvation.

Ensuring we acknowledge that the son exists in his own right and is not a person in the trinity is essential. Note the words of John 17: 3 This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.4 I have glorified you on the earth, having finished the work you have given me to do.5 So now, Father, glorify me at your side with the glory that I had alongside you before the world was. and again in verse 25 Righteous Father, the world has, indeed, not come to know you, but I know you, and these have come to know that you sent me.26 I have made your name known to them and will make it known, so that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in union with them.”

Jehovah God gave credit to his son for the gift of the ransom that Jesus gave therefore, God raised him up, accepted the value of his sacrifice and by our personal faith in that ransom sacrifice we can live and enjoy a relationship with our heavenly father.

So 1 John 5: 3 “For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome,4 because everyone who has been born from God conquers the world. And this is the conquest that has conquered the world, our faith.”

The conclusion is that “those who believeth in him” will gain everlasting life because God raised Jesus to be the symbol of salvation in our modern wilderness, the only means we have to exercise faith in Jehovah God is to acknowledge the role of his son who became the “Son of Man” to give his life as a ransom in exchange for many.

Is it reasonable to ask that we continue to search for what we know and understand about Jesus, separating him from the Godhead of false Christianity? “Know the truth and the truth will set you free”.

The Body of Christ

The act of communion in many churches focuses on the miraculous transformation of the Bread and the Wine, the Eucharist. The Greek origin of the word literally means “thanksgiving” and the Apostles were encouraged to look at the benefits of the Bread and Wine as they related to Jesus Christ. However, tradition and mysticism have confused the meaning of the significance the death of Christ.

Many non-Christians find the service, ritual revolting because of the theological corruption.

The Purpose of the Lords Evening Meal or Last Supper is to convey to all humankind that Jesus died faithful to his father, he had shown that his life answered Satan’s challenge, proved the devil is a liar and he could now offer his body in exchange for the sins of humankind.

What Did Jesus Mean?

He took unleavened bread, gave thanks for it and then broke so that all the Apostles would share. What did he say the Bread signified? “This means my body” His Perfect body, sinless and complete and through this one persons death the debt could be paid. Romans 6: 23 “For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Matthew 20: 28 “Just as the Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister and to give his life as a ransom in exchange for many.”

Simply put Jesus made reference to the fact that his life, and blood covered the debt for what was lost and created an opportunity for those who want to be restored to perfection the means to gain forgiveness of their sins.

There is a deeper significance to the event, the reasons why we commemorate this event so the encouragement is to study, think about and of course let the Bible explain why The Body of Christ and his Blood of the covenant have such great meaning in our time.

The Memorial of Christs Death will not continue forever, once God’s Kingdom is enthroned on Earth and humanity is serving the creator the need for our annual review will diminish.

We need to search for truth and not tradition, we need to find the right pathway and not be sucked into rites and ceremonies, find the freedom that comes from understanding the real significance of Christs Death, his Body and Blood. There is a local venue you can attend to hear a detailed explanation use this link.

“Though your sins are like scarlet”

Isaiah 1: 18 is a reminder to all of us that we do make serious mistakes. That although these may just be too big for us to see past and yet as described God is looking to erase those sins.

We have Bible accounts that demonstrate his capacity to forgive, they serve as a reminder of the words of the Apostle John wrote at 1John 3: 20 “regarding whatever our hearts may condemn us in, because God is greater than our hearts and knows all things.”

Forgiveness through a Sacrifice

Once our first family members had chosen to remove themselves from the support and guidance the creator/maker had provided things started to go downhill.

Often this has been likened to when we switch off a fan and it takes some time for the blades to stop rotating. We are close to the complete standstill.

So we needed to reconnect to the power source – to the creator but we had changed the plug. This was when God came to our rescue, providing the promise of the connection through a mediator Jesus Christ.

“Washed in the Blood of the Lamb”

We identify those who become connected to God through Christ when we look at Revelation 7: 9 “After this I saw, and look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands.10 And they keep shouting with a loud voice, saying: “Salvation we owe to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

The Angel explains who these ones are to John in Revelation 7: 13 “In response one of the elders said to me: “These who are dressed in the white robes, who are they and where did they come from?”14 So right away I said to him: “My lord, you are the one who knows.” And he said to me: “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.15 That is why they are before the throne of God, and they are rendering him sacred service day and night in his temple; and the One seated on the throne will spread his tent over them.”

John uses the expression “Great tribulation” here just as Jesus did to provide the sign of his second coming. It is evident that these survivors are in a special relationship with Christ so they worship the one on the throne because of Jesus.

So Salvation is through the Blood of the Christ. This is something we need to know more about. How does Jesus’ life, ministry, death and resurrection address our need and restore us to that original relationship with God?

Every year Jesus disciples – yes Christians who follow the pattern Jesus set, meet to commemorate his death and review why this one takes away the sins of the world though they be scarlet because through his death we can wash or cleanse ourselves to enjoy the glorious freedom of the children of God.

The promise is that we see God’s Name Jehovah sanctified and his rightful position as the one worthy of worship and praise vindicated. The reward for those who do is to “Enjoy Life Forever”

Pathway is clear for those who understand the sacrifice

Collateral Damage – do we value lives or property?

Yemen, Ukraine, Syria, millions of people are caught in wars they didn’t start, over interests that aren’t relevant to their survival and the lands they live in are being fought over by people who have an agenda.

The senseless bombing, use of toxins and chemical weapons, heavy street fighting and of course diplomacy the curse of governments talking. The expression negotiated settlement generally implies that someone loses but never the people who have the power.

Best intentions and the desire for peace seem well-meaning but the human cost is calculated later. Often as a cash sum, can that be right? How many caught in the collateral damage had the mental skills to find cures for diseases, tackle the issues facing the environment, propose a way to end world hunger? Those firing the weapons don’t count that as a cost, the opportunity cost to society. Indiscriminate killing shows life has no value because wars continue.

The economic fallout

For the major developed countries, interest depends on the impact on the global economy, for example, the war in Yemen can be said to boost the world economy because both sides need weapons and this comes before the people.

Ukraine is a bigger issue because of its proximity to NATO and the effect on the global economy, we have wall to wall coverage of this war.

And yet how valuable is a life? Any life?

Governments send people to fight wars, the shells and munitions take lives indiscriminately and tomorrow they send another batch of people.

Life is cheap and those left behind have to then rebuild is this fair? Morally right? or even natural?

Few modern rulers lead their troops into battle, fight on the front lines or are prepared to give their life for the people.

Contrast God’s Kingdom

How does God calculate your value? Note Jesus’ words at Matthew 10: 29 “Two sparrows sell for a coin of small value, do they not? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father’s knowledge.30 But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.31 So have no fear; you are worth more than many sparrows.”

Here is the price he paid John 3: 16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.17 For God did not send his Son into the world for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him.”

The outcome for those who put faith in Jesus’ sacrifice John 17: 3 “This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.”

Those who die in human warfare may get their name on a plaque on the war memorial, those who die because of the collateral damage are not remembered beyond that generation.

Note the bible promise for those who are caught up in the universal warfare John 5: 28 “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.”

Our life is precious to God, he remembers everyone of us and he knows the reasons for the choices we make so we can conclude that we are more valuable than property, more memorable than sparrows and we have the chance to avoid being just a statistic, a name on a wall for a forlorn cause – the pursuit of power. Remember what Psalm 146: “3 Do not put your trust in princes Nor in a son of man, who cannot bring salvation. 4 His spirit goes out, he returns to the ground; On that very day his thoughts perish.”

Human rulership is limited and time-constrained, what is important to this generation isn’t that important to another. Jehovah God’s Kingdom is for eternity, his mercy unlimited and he is the personification of love. If you haven’t discovered those key qualities about the God of the Bible we encourage you to begin by understanding his Son Jesus Christ. Millions are following Lent and leading to Easter but why is this time so important? The following posts will explain why we can be certain the Jesus Death means something to each of us and every one who has ever lived.

The Healing of the Nations – What is it?

Revelation 22: 1 “And he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, flowing out from the throne of God and of the Lamb2 down the middle of its main street. On both sides of the river were trees of life producing 12 crops of fruit, yielding their fruit each month. And the leaves of the trees were for the healing of the nations.”

The Bible Book of Revelation or Apocolypse is seen as the frightening end to the way humans have lived for thousands of years. With the death of the majority and only a great crowd surviving a war with God’s King and his Kingdom.

And yet – the content highlights that it isn’t that much longer and we will see an end to the things that our original parents brought us, our damaged relationship with God, therefore, sin, death through famine, disease, war, violence and natural disasters. All of these things are assured.

Prophesy fulfilled in our time

Speaking to the educated individual who has been taught question and accepts scepticism has proved the words of the Apostle Peter accurate for the time we live in because they lack understanding, accept what they hear and read in popular culture 2 Peter 3:3 “First of all know this, that in the last day’s ridiculers will come with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires4 and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep in death, all things are continuing exactly as they were from creation’s beginning.”

It reminded me of an incident linked to building, now a housing estate was built on flat land just outside a town in South West England. Nothing unusual there, however, the farmer who cultivated the land before he was forced to sell told the developer that although it didn’t it the site was prone to flooding.

He was laughed at because there were no recorded floods in over 100 years. But what the farmer knew, because he did it, was that the leat or drain had to be clear 3 times a year. Miss the first and the water table rises, the second and parts of the site become boggy and third pools of water appear, miss 10 and you have floods.

What has prevented God’s Kingdom from acting on our behalf to this date? Simple it wasn’t the prophesied last days – it wasn’t time for the Kingdom to act.

Unknown reality

We are told that God is a myth, cruel, doesn’t care or doesn’t exist, why? because the intellectuals and educated among us think he would make the truth difficult and complex, requiring their cleverness to unravel the mysteries.

But the truth is very simple, humanity is crashing onwards through time to its destruction at the same time we are destroying something we don’t understand – the planet.

How are humans who are discovering so many new things so confident they know what is really going on? We all look at things right now and recognise that there is an unseen hand manipulating events that are now falling into line with Bible Prophesy makes the promised healing of the nations important.

The Water from the Throne

The life-giving and refreshing water coming from the throne is a reason for hope and joy. We are told to drink it, once we have, invite others to partake and see the healing effects.

What does that water do? First, it cleanses us because we drop the false doctrines, religious practices and political affiliations we see God’s Kingdom ruled by Jesus Christ! Then we apply the characteristics that the truth of serving God brings, there are no borders and boundaries, humans did that to control.

Millions of lives are sacrificed to the God of Fortresses and those who send them to their deaths appear to be immune from the consequences of their actions.

However, Daniel 2 : 44 “In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever,

The healing of the nations has started, now is the time to throw off scepticism and begin to build an understanding of bible prophecy, ask the difficult questions because God’s word can stand that scrutiny. Let the Bible – God’s Word answer for itself, don’t confuse religion for truth or doctrine as something based on the bible. That is where the healing begins for each of us.

Jehovah God is drawing those to his word who want better things now and in the future. The choice for us is, do we drink of the water of life and experience the healing of the nations or do rush headlong into the ravine with the rest of the masses.

Choose Life and Live Forever – find out how!

An End to All Suffering – Just Why Is Peace so Elusive?

All over the World we see the rise of suffering, affecting everyone in one way or another. This is often brought about by Government Leaders with “Good Intentions” and others who express Imperial dreams. They believe that this will result in freedom and peace because things are done their way, they will save their people who are oppressed.

The real impact is warfare and shortages that escalate the suffering, that lead to massive numbers of those losing their lives and those remaining survive is extreme conditions.

So why do all of these “good intentions” always fail, and why can’t humanity establish “true peace”?

Look to God’s Answer

The Bible gives us many reasons for this sad state of affairs, note the words at Jeremiah 10: 23 “I well know, O Jehovah, that man’s way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step.”

We were not designed or intended to rule over another person, Jehovah God gave neither the need nor the right.

Acts 10: 34 “At this Peter began to speak, and he said: “Now I truly understand that God is not partial,35 but in every nation the man who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.36 He sent out the word to the sons of Israel to declare to them the good news of peace through Jesus Christ—this one is Lord of all.” He created us Equal!

These Human leaders with the best motives of improving the lives of the people they lead “pass on” and their plans come to an end. So what they start they are unlikely to finish, others will replace them.

In 2 Timothy 3: 1 “But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here.2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal,3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness,4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God,5 having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away”.

Note the key points:

  • Critical times hard to deal with
  • Fierce, headstrong, puffed up with pride
  • without love of Goodness
  • not open to agreement

All of these indicate that we are living the time that Jesus described as the “last days” or “End Times”. Not of humanity but of Human rulership.

The only solution and hope for lasting peace on earth identified in God’s Word as God’s Kingdom that removes all human governments who oppose his rulership. It will bring peace to the earth, it will eliminate all human suffering and those living there will Psalm 37: 10 Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, And they will not be there. 11 But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

We all need to find out more about God’s Kingdom and recognise it offers the only real solution – it meets our desire never to die – so find out more, study the Bible in depth and find out how each of us can Enjoy Life Forever if you want to know more please comment below or follow the links in our post.

What is happening in Ukraine and the fear of Government Leaders does mean ordinary people die because no one knows what any response will generate. Remember at the time God’s King intervenes we know that there will be no one doing any harm or causing any suffering because we have a righteous ruler in Jesus Christ.

We continue to pray “Let your Kingdom Come, Let you will be done”
