An enforced break

Heart Disease and Cancer are relentless since November 2021 the family has been meeting the challenges and ravages of the human body.

With each month the growing catalogue of health issues has invaded time spent on the Good News of Gods Kingdom. Things got worse in November/December 2022 and have spiralled.

February 2023 begins the period of medical and surgical interventions when yet another round of treatments will interrupt the posting of content.

Facing the Spectre

Surgery and Treatment are really a sticking plaster, slowing the process of aging and death they give us little hope. Once this round of surgery is over there is another to follow. Eventually leaving so little of the original in situ we all become the $6million Dollar. There is an inevitability of Genesis 3: 19 “In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.”

Adam bought corruption and death when he opted for independence from God. Once we became independent our opportunity for unending life with out corruption disappeared. The Apostle Paul goes into great detail about tthe need for a ransom, and the Apostle John emphasised that the price that we estranged humans need to pay is a corresponding ransom, yes something beyond all of us collectively.

So when the spectre of death looms what are we facing, Psalm 146: 3 “Do not put your trust in princes Nor in a son of man, who cannot bring salvation.4 His spirit goes out, he returns to the ground; On that very day his thoughts perish.” We die, death is the opposite to life, just as sleep is opposite to being awake.

Are we tormented? Can we torment others? Note the words of Ecclesiastes 9: 4 “There is hope for whoever is among the living, because a live dog is better off than a dead lion.5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all, nor do they have any more reward, because all memory of them is forgotten.6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they no longer have any share in what is done under the sun.”

Churches confuse the Christians by discussing Greek Philosophy for example the immortality of the soul, the bible does not teach this as many authoritative works highlight (Study the origins of doctrines and images). It makes it plain, we die because we sin, not as a punishment but as a consequences of a decision made by our ancestors.

We find that easier to understand these days, I have never enslaved or exploited anyone of any race or creed but I am described as White Privileged and a Beneficiary of Colonial exploitation. Those who read British Social History know this is far from the truth. The Reform Acts of 1884 and 1918 gave males regardless of property status and female property owners over the age of 21 and 30 respectively the right to vote, this disparity was rectified in 1918. The disenfranchise poor in 1914 became the cannon fodder of Europe, the same continued in 1939. The Social Struggle continued through the 1940s to 1983 with legislation that opened the right to buy. These individuals broke the the Colonial yoke and yet today they are tarnished with the Colonial brush of shame. Why? Because they inherited it.

We inherit, sin, sickness and death. There is nothing to pin our hopes on if we look at science and medicine. The very people (scientists and politicians) who led progress now condemn ordinary people for using those inventions, the motorcar, pesticides and so many any other tools of progress.

The inconsistency of Humanity, I saw a wonderful quote this morning “If scientists say there is evidence of intelligent life on Earth why haven’t they been able to find it?”

I wrote an essay once about a man who was alone, in his isolation he became afraid of the things he did not know so he decided to protect himself and he built a wall. It encircled his property and inside he ensured he had what he wanted. Every year he added to the size of the wall by digging out the ground underneath his feet, his only resource, eventually he used up his resources, just before he died he looked up at his wall and realised he had built his own prison cell and death chamber.

Humanity has done that so unlike the man with his wall we need to find someone who will intervene on our behalf, our hope is based on the fact that we have found that person in Jesus Christ the son of God of whom John the Baptist said John 1: 29 “The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and he said: “See, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”

Hope has become our anchor in times where sticking plasters won’t do, humanity wants equity of outcome, well the bible promises just that with the words recorded at John 17: 3 “This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.”

So we remember as we face trials and the inevitable pressures that Hebrews 13: 5b ” For he has said: “I will never leave you, and I will never abandon you.” 6 So that we may be of good courage and say: “Jehovah is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

It may be a few weeks before I post again but be confident that my hope is in Jehovah, the future of humanity is safe and millions alive today will never need to die because Jesus paid the price for us to enjoy Life in Paradise Forever.

Is the Dream Dead?

Martin Luther King Jr said “I still have a dream, a dream deeply rooted in the American dream – one day this nation will rise up and live up to its creed, “We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.” I have a dream …”

Those words resonated around the world. A man of principle and high moral character his personal belief “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their character. I have a dream today!”

His belief stemmed from a deep-seated focus on the Bible, the Prophets Isaiah and Amos were quote and the words of the Apostle Paul. Have his children seen his dream realized? One has died, and three are now maturely approaching the latter part of their lives. Sadly, the world they see and the country they live in has not responded to the dream positively.

Is His Dream Dead?

The Reverand King was basing his fundamental belief on his desire for God’s Kingdom, the promise he refers to in Isaiah didn’t apply to one country or a world governed by people. Notice how the writer explains at Ecclesiastes 8: 9 “All of this I have seen, and I applied my heart to every work that has been done under the sun, during the time that man has dominated man to his harm.” The reason for the failure Psalm 146: 3 “Do not put your trust in princes Nor in a son of man, who cannot bring salvation. 4 His spirit goes out, he returns to the ground; On that very day his thoughts perish.”

When leaders die they take their good intentions and great dreams with them.

However, as the Psalmist goes on to explain the Reverand King’s dream is not dead, complete the reading of Psalm 146. Justice for all, righteous government, a power that heals the sick and feeds the hungry. The promises in Isaiah that formed much of the dream are focused on the abundance of opportunity for all.

A World Without Borders

Do you reflect on the words of the Lord’s Prayer? Have you considered just what you are asking for? God’s Kingdom, God’s Will to care for the earth. A powerful request, note what the Apostle Peter said at Acts 10: 34 “At this Peter began to speak, and he said: “Now I truly understand that God is not partial,35 but in every nation the man who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.36 He sent out the word to the sons of Israel to declare to them the good news of peace through Jesus Christ—this one is Lord of all.

This isn’t equality, this is justice, this is the identifying mark of Christianity! If we have to rely on the legal system to dictate how we behave towards others we are not demonstrating that we are one of Jesus followers John 13: 35 “By this all will know that you are my disciples—if you have love among yourselves.” John 15: 12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another just as I have loved you.”

Many people have dreamt of something better we have all prayed for or wished for something better, but today, where you are born, determines what opportunities and advantages you have. Some have so much that they could feed a country every year but it piles up in a bank account.

Many years ago I worked with a person who had accumulated wealth and property, two broken marriages and estranged children. By late middle-age they lived in a beautiful property, surrounded by vacant space and work was the only contact with the outside world. Happiness, contentment and companionship were missing. The only reason to get up in the morning was to make more money.

That person determined to get a grip of the reality of life and searched for God.

The Reverand’s dream is dead because it failed to achieve the things he wanted to see in the lifetime of children, but the promises of Gods Kingdom continue to thrill and excite millions around the globe. Why? Because already almost 9 million people live in that dream environment and practice the fundamental requirement they show love. Here are some examples – VideosVideo2, just examples of those who have changed the outcome of their lives today.

Do you share the dream? Would you want to live in a place where justice prevailed and all barriers related to birth, where you live and the colour of your skin has no place then you are seeking God’s Kingdom under the rulership of Jesus Christ? To understand what both Jesus has accomplished already and the dream Reverand Doctor King could see we need to understand who is preventing this from happening, what fight we really have, not with flesh and blood but the spirit of this world and its ruler.

Begin by opening the Bible, ask the hard questions and begin to seek the real answers. Not the tired trite rubbish of the educated elite.

Our lives and our families lives are in our hands, real freedom begins with truth and the Apostle Peter explained where we all stand Acts 10: 34, 35 “And Peter opened his mouth and said “I perceive to a certainty that God is not partial,35 but in every nation he who fears him and practices righteousness is acceptable to him.” Discrimination, segregation and hate start with someone else because there are greater issues at stake than what is going to happen to humanity.

The Bible explains the “Big Picture” – share the dream of a united family of humans serving each other and sharing a real hope for the future.

As we approach MLK jr Day in 2022 discover the truth and embrace true freedom

We’ll post again soon – don’t focus on fiction look for the truth found in God’s Word

End to Suffering – Real Hope

At this time of year, many people are reflecting on the past year and then setting goals for the future or wondering what things will look like? Just what will the New Year bring?

Humanity has suffered during 2021 – the pandemic, more natural disasters and loss of life due to the events, war famine and social unrest plus the personal economic pressures present a short-list, but we have all had additional issues and problems to deal with.

They are the problems of today and yesterday but what of the future?

Bible Prophesy

The Bible is accurate when it describes this period of time we live in – critical times, hard to deal with, the end times or last days because left to human solutions there will be so few of us left. Yet the bible promise is that when we see these times we aren’t to lose our faith, rather we should “stand up!” (Luke 21: 28) because deliverance is at hand.

Jehovah opens the future to us by telling us about the present, even though it was written 2000 years ago and through the Bible, he explained what his Kingdom would achieve for Humanity. Note the words in Revelation 21: 4, 5 “And God himself will be with them.4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”5 And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new”.

Gods Kingdom

Christians have prayed for God’s Kingdom for 2,000, the unfolding of history indicates that the bible record is accurate when it discusses human rulership, the outcomes and the present world conditions. Therefore, through personal research and study, we can establish for ourselves that God’s promises are to be relied upon.

The world is heading for its’ own reckoning so it is time to choose what side we are on. Find out more through a detailed study of the Bible with the assistance of a local Christian who has taken those steps and made the promises of God certain for themselves.

We can really enjoy life forever this is the Real Hope based on faith and understanding just what Jehovah is doing for each of us today.

Life and Abortion – Right or Wrong?

Statistics from Worldometers 25th December2021

  • 137,565,316 Births this year
  • 41,907,424Abortions this year

Desire to reproduce

Humans naturally value life, we have a desire to ensure the human race continues, according to the Bible explains why please note the words at Genesis 1: 28 “Further, God blessed them, and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many, fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving on the earth.””

We care about life! The evidence is overwhelming. Fetal surgery is possible after 18 weeks and we celebrate this as an achievement of science. Surgeons have saved a life!

In a nearby, theatre another foetus is terminated after 20 weeks because it is not a life. A strange reflection of rationalising personal decision-making.

Ask the difficult questions

When does life begin? Who determines when a moral wrong is a legal right?

Life is so precious we see how hard we strive to remain alive at all costs. All around the Globe charities are fighting to preserve the lives of newborn babies who are at risk of dying a painful and avoidable death, and yet the developed countries are fighting to terminate the life of the unborn. This is creating a social Paradox.

Why choose to Post this on December 25th?

Today over 1 billion people around the globe will focus on the significance of one new life, whether the date is right or not the words of the Angel in Luke 2: 10 “But the angel said to them: “Do not be afraid, for look! I am declaring to you good news of a great joy that all the people will have.11 For today there was born to you in David’s city a savior, who is Christ the Lord.12 And this is a sign for you: You will find an infant wrapped in strips of cloth and lying in a manger.”13 Suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army, praising God and saying:14 “Glory in the heights above to God, and on earth peace among men of goodwill.””

This one life had the potential to change the futile existence of humankind. This child atoned for the sins of generations. So at what point did this child matter? Luke 1: 30 “So the angel said to her: “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.31 And look! you will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus.32 This one will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and Jehovah God will give him the throne of David his father,33 and he will rule as King over the house of Jacob forever, and there will be no end to his Kingdom.””

The account explains that once Holy Spirit had acted this foetus was blessed the child’s life had begun.

So let us answer the question properly.

When humans were created God gave us free will, the right to choose. That choice was simple to follow his guidance and benefit ourselves and society or determine what is right and wrong for ourselves.

Now the choice made on a personal level says whether we are prepared to accept God’s guidance and live by his standards or we only want to answer to ourselves.

A true Christian has no second thought, life is precious, when we were created it was clear we were to take care of all life, therefore, with abortion, there is only one route.

Does that mean there isn’t any hope?

Mainstream churches have softened their stance to the Bible standards over the years but does that mean God’s standards have changed? Never.

So why are conditions carrying on like this for so long when it is obviously not what God purposed. 2 Peter 3: 9 Jehovah is not slow concerning his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire anyone to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance.

Whilst there is time left for salvation all have the chance to get to know God, to align their life and then share the things they find from the bible with others. How? Take time to study the bible! Examine why we can trust God’s word and develop a respect for guidance that never fails us even when discussing the most challenging and contentious of moral subjects.

Where does Justice begin?

Wherever we are in the world society needs to be centred on equality and justice. This forms the core of government, rulership and peace.

Do Peace and Justice come from having a book of laws?

Historically, hundreds of laws are designed not for the poor but the powerful, prevent the loss of property and promote the idea that individual rights come from a document.

Is this where Justice begins? In the USA we see through court reporting how information is skewed, spun and justice is defined by the crowd of media and public opinion in the 21st Century. Justice enshrines the concept of “Innocent until proved beyond a reasonable doubt” a person is guilty. Society no longer sees this as the benchmark.

Justice begins with Love

Yes, it begins with Love for God, Love for neighbour, Love for life and Peace.

Jesus words in Matthew 5: 9 – “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” Peace is an expression of justice, it is a result of pursuing justice and requires that each of us put the needs of others ahead of our own.

Civil unrest isn’t a call for justice, it is a demand for retribution, like baying hounds chasing the fox and when caught the damage is catastrophic.

The first principle we have to acknowledge Ecclesiastes 8: 9 All this have I seen, and applied my heart unto every work that is done under the sun: there is a time wherein one man hath power over another to his hurt. or as another translation renders it “9All this I have seen, and there was an applying of my heart to every work that has been done under the sun, [during] the time that man has dominated man to his injury.”

Death is the final arbiter for us all – we bring nothing into the world and take nothing away, so we are custodians, not owners. Caretakers with a clear job to do. We decided that humankind could effectively take on the responsibility for equality and justice but society failed.

The Apostle Peter tackled the subject of the outcome of Human rulership and what has to happen to achieve, equality and justice in 2 Peter 3: 11 through 13 “Since all these things are to be dissolved in this way, consider what sort of people you ought to be in holy acts of conduct and deeds of godly devotion,12 as you await and keep close in mind the presence of the day of Jehovah, through which the heavens will be destroyed in flames and the elements will melt in the intense heat!13 But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.”

Human Rulership is to be dissolved – removed, irradicated and replaced. Now many argue we have the right to run our own lives and that is the choice we are faced with, do we continue to run our own lives, destroy the planet, affect all other life on earthy or do we recognise that we have a limited scope and understanding.

Recently, watching a television series looking at the universe the presenter made an astounding point when speculating about the future, he spoke with conviction and ended with “if anyone says they know or understand don’t believe them” In other words ‘trust me I don’t know what I’m talking about’.

When science, the media and government expect you to blindly follow and believe can you really say you’re running your life? Justice begins with information, knowledge and wisdom, treating everyone as an equal, recognising that we all have strengths and right now weaknesses. When we fail to recognise these things society begins to break down, justice fails, so we need a universal set of standards, consistent government and fantastic leadership.

Reading Matthew chapters 5 through 7 creates a set of principles that can change our lives.

Therefore, Justice Begins with Knowledge, spiritual awareness and consistent leadership. Want to find out more then it is time to research the Kingdom or Government that promises to put an end to all injustice afflicting the world.

True Justice is from God!

Will Man Ruin The Earth?

Wherever we live on the planet the subject of “climate change” is increasingly in the news. Governments speak of it, everyday individuals protest about the devastating changes happening to the planet.

Many have reached the conclusion it is too late for the adjustment needed.

The question really is can humankinds governments, however sincere in their desire stop the impact of climate on the planet and human society?

The Bible Comments

The Bible gives us the wonderful reassurance that humankind will not be allowed to ruin the earth. Note the words at Isaiah 45: 18 For this is what Jehovah says, The Creator of the heavens, the true God, The One who formed the earth, its Maker who firmly established it, Who did not create it simply for nothing, but formed it to be inhabited: “I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.

Notice the words at Ecclesiastes 1: 4 “A generation is going, and a generation is coming, But the earth remains forever“, and Psalm 78: 69 He made his sanctuary as enduring as the heavens, Like the earth that he has established forever.

The Bible reveals how God created the earth with the exact details on the conditions vital to animal and human life. It also reveals he loves his creation.

What God has planned!

Read the words at Revelation 11: 18 But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time came for the dead to be judged and to reward your slaves the prophets and the holy ones and those fearing your name, the small and the great, and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth.” Humankind is running out of time, the planet is running out of time and the bible reveals that we are living in the “Last Days”. Action is imminent.

Psalm 2 and Daniel 2 explains that Governments and national groups are not going to listen and they will stand against this action but like an ant on a track they have no power to stop the train – God’s Kingdom restore:

  • Peace
  • environmental balance
  • health
  • social justice
  • honest government
  • hope

These are just a few of the things promised, humanity and the planet will be restored by the creator and we need to know more about how we can enjoy that future. – Enjoy Life Forever.

Protest won’t change the world – God’s Kingdom has.

The Biblical “Great Reset”

The World Economic Forum has discussed since the 1930’s the need for an Economic Reset, Extinction Rebellion demand an Environmental Reset and so many political ideologies look to a Social Reset.

The idea that the reset will prevent everyone is punished for the errors of the past often sparks the the flames of revolution.

Conspiracy theorists look at the events happening around the globe and promote the idea that humanity is approaching a reset point. They are absolutely correct!

The Bible Sets out the present

In describing the period before the point of reset the bible discusses what life is going to be like note the words of Paul to Timothy – 2 Timothy 3: 1-5 “But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here.2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal,3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness,4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God,5 having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away.” A very simple description of a world without god.

For those with a faith and who are prepared to share it what reception do they receive? 2 Peter 3: 3 “First of all know this, that in the last days ridiculers will come with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires4 and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep in death, all things are continuing exactly as they were from creation’s beginning.”

But how is this the total reset conspiracy theorists are talking about?

The last days must end and something new must be introduced. James 5: 1-3 “Come, now, you rich men, weep and wail over the miseries that are coming upon you.2 Your riches have rotted, and your clothing has become moth-eaten.3 Your gold and silver have rusted away, and their rust will be a witness against you and will consume your flesh. What you have stored up will be like a fire in the last days.” Silver and Gold are of no value or use. The currency that does work is faith.

Who brings the Revolution?

Revelation 6: 1-17 paints a vivid picture of an invisible conquest, that humans see the impact of and initially ignore the consequence of opposing the new king on his ride to his appointed throne.

As the King takes his throne there is war in heaven and the victor banishes his enemies to the earth, where these enemies gather the political, religious and commercial elements of humanity to face off with the Anointed King.

We are living through that period of damaging ignorance, the so called enlightened guides of today are leading society off the edge of a cliff. “SJW Thought Police” talk of hate speech when other express their personal views on morality, or the need to follow the standards of the bible. Why? Because the Bible is clear in why certain practices are unacceptable.

History has taught us many things but the idea that “history repeats itself” teaches us that Humans don’t listen and don’t learn.

Action today

The building has started to burn, the temperature has risen but it isn’t an immediate threat to life – so we’ll stay where we are. Does that sound like a sane person or response?

When you find a fire in a property what is the first thing you do? Get everyone out, immediately! The alarm rings until the building is made safe, it stops anyone re-entering.

So someone has shouted fire – the universal reset to God’s standards is imminent, how long do you leave it until you check out the alarm call.

From personal experience, having been in a building fire the alarm sounded and the senior person with us said it’s just a drill, but the alarm continued, so we got up to go and the person said no need to panic it’s just a drill. They went out to the landing and asked the person across the hallway if it was a drill, she didn’t know but if the senior thought it was we should ignore it.

Within two minutes large clouds of smoke engulfed the landing and it was almost too late. Why? Because we followed the poor instincts and supposed authority of others.

The moral of this if you hear the alarm check it out for yourself immediately. It will prevent unnecessary suffering and potentially death.

Jesus said the his disciples should “Preach the Good News of the Kingdom” and make more disciples because this is the way to save lives before the end comes.

What the Reset looks like – Enjoy Life Forever

Act now and don’t follow others.

20 years and what has changed?

As I sat in the offices of the Charity Commission at Taunton Somerset on the 11th September 2001 we began to hear of some issues with a potential terror incident in the USA.

By the time we had reached Plymouth Devon, the twin towers were collapsing into the streets below.

World leaders stood up and said the people responsible for the outrage would be tracked down and held to account. A series of events then led to wide spread terror.

The UK was hardened to terrorist attacks with the internationally financed drive for freedom in Northern Ireland. However, the developed countries were dragged into a 20 year battle against a foe they can’t defeat.

Where are we now?

Technology may have changed the battlefield and strategy but the war continues. Government ideologies change, strategic campaigns are adjusted but the biblical truth remains absolute Jeremiah 10: 23 “I well know, O Jehovah, that man’s way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step.”

Why? Ecclesiastes 9: 11 “I have seen something further under the sun, that the swift do not always win the race, nor do the mighty win the battle, nor do the wise always have the food, nor do the intelligent always have the riches, nor do those with knowledge always have success, because time and unexpected events overtake them all.”

Go back a chapter and look at the wisdom in these words Ecclesiastes 8: 9 “All of this I have seen, and I applied my heart to every work that has been done under the sun, during the time that man has dominated man to his harm.”

Who was in the right or wrong has been lost in the generations and like every family story it gets embroidered upon, perceived injustices are magnified but what is the resolution to any of these issues.

“Let Your Kingdom Come”

Jesus proclaimed Good News – also in Islam the Prophet spoke of salvation, both referred to following God’s Word, obeying his laws and following the one God.

So why the fight? Whose God do you listen to? Well Jesus didn’t speak in an acceptable way for the religious leaders of the Judaic family, he wasn’t addressing any form of Islamic faith, he linked this statement to a Kingdom that had a purpose – the Prophet Daniel identified the Kingdom note the words of Daniel 2: 44, 45 “In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever,45 just as you saw that out of the mountain a stone was cut not by hands, and that it crushed the iron, the copper, the clay, the silver, and the gold. The Grand God has made known to the king what will happen in the future. The dream is true, and its interpretation is trustworthy.”

Those Kings would include Persia, Egypt, Greece Rome, Britain and America the states that are locked in this spiral of death. I often think about this as two crocodiles fighting in a death roll, neither ready to let go and equally matched. But the Greater Kingdom, God’s Kingdom will crush and put an end to them both. What a challenge!

Now in schools around the Globe the prayer found at Matthew 6: 9 – 13 is said daily, in churches and homes many times a day but how many are ready for that Kingdom? How many will embrace the opportunity to find really peace?

The Comfort

The Kingdom of God does not ask us to fight on its behalf, rather we are show out commitment to that kingdom now by copying Jesus message preach the Good News about Gods Kingdom and the role his son Jesus has in the restoration of world peace.

This is difficult for many to accept because of the things they have been taught, the religious people they encounter and the propaganda of world leaders who have already taken their stand against God and his chosen one.

Let me pose a question to you the reader? Is there any government to your knowledge and in your living memory who has kept all their promises? Or have they been able to deliver the results they set out in their manifestoes?

Has science achieved the good it claimed it would? Resolved the issues with food production or housing and health? Does science explain the root cause of anything or does it continue to create more questions because there is an exception that proves the rule?

Note the words of the Psalmist when they stress the reality of human leadership Psalm 146: 3 “Do not put your trust in princes Nor in a son of man, who cannot bring salvation. 4 His spirit goes out, he returns to the ground; On that very day his thoughts perish.”

Left to human leaders and educators, religious guides and scientists there will come a moment when the sun will not rise on humanity the next day. Extinction is the path we are collectively walking down and the result is more despair, fear and tribulation.

Do not give up – only start looking for the answers yourself, take the time to research and understand why millions alive today have already stepped away from the governments of their countries and become international advocates of God’s Kingdom the universal solution to our stark issues.

Where are we today? 20 years closer to the intervention promised in Daniel chapter 2, 20 years further evidence of human inability to direct their own steps and sadly many have did on the altar of the fight against terrorism with world leaders knowing this was all in vain.

Standards in Religion

In my personal ministry I have been asked a few times “are standards falling” and “why doesn’t your faith reflect the standards of modern society”?

The truth is society has set it’s own standards and rules for thousands of years and moved away from God’s laws, guidance and principles. So standards are becoming accepted modern practices.

Historically the primary faiths, Catholicism, Anglicans, mainstream Protestant faith groups have been able to control the lives of the population and keep them in line with the brutal regime of the Church. To reject those standards meant a painful and swift end.

However, the Biblical standards are constant!

Jesus explained that we as Christians should master two points Matthew 22: 36 – 40 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”37 He said to him: “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’38 This is the greatest and first commandment.39 The second, like it, is this: ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets.”

So love of God and neighbour. In Matthew 7: 12 “All things, therefore, that you want men to do to you, you also must do to them. This, in fact, is what the Law and the Prophets mean.”

Christian Alignment – appeasement

In the most descriptive of language the Bible describes organised religion that fails to recognise Jehovah as the Most High God, as set in opposition to his rulership. Modern churches have aligned themselves with Governments, Commercial practises and capitalised on celebrations, now focusing on pleasure and political appeasement (P & p).

Never confuse those who attend the churches with those who have faith and live by bible principles.

Let’s take one point – 2 Corinthians 7: 1 Therefore, since we have these promises, beloved ones, let us cleanse ourselves of every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

At first reading this seems easy to accept but let’s just take one aspect – the incorporation of Pagan Holidays (Holy Days) into Christianity.

No where are we informed that we as Christians should embrace other practices – for example the Apostle John stated 1 John 5: 21 “Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.”

At Christmas (a pagan holiday adopted by Christianity) the veneration of the Mother and Child has become common. Scenes of the manger, mother nursing the child and countless representations. An online Bible Research resource (Bible Tools) noted this on the origins of the images used to represent this relationship: “Through the generations, in this idolatrous worship, Nimrod became the false Messiah, son of Baal the Sun-god. In this false Babylonish system, the “Mother and Child” (Semiramis and Nimrod reborn), became chief objects of worship. This worship of “Mother and Child” spread over the world. The names varied in different countries and languages. In Egypt, it was Isis and Osiris. In Asia, Cybele and Deoius. In pagan Rome, Fortuna and Jupiterpuer. Even in Greece, China, Japan, Tibet is to be found the counterpart of the Madonna, long before the birth of Christ!”

From the 431 CE council at Ephesus representations of the Mother and Child (Madonna nursing Christ) have been acceptable.

The origin of the image – Nimrod reborn and his mother – Nimrod is clearly identified as Rebel one who turned his back on God and wanted to do his own thing.

The words are clear – keep yourselves from idols. and yet every church, gallery and most religious buildings we find representations of these abhorrent images

To worship God acceptably we need to ensure we know what is required and maintain those standards. Have standards fallen? No true Christians have always maintained them and died for it. Have the Churches diluted the standards to incorporate pagans and those without faith. Most definitely.

The only way to be certain that you are maintaining Gods standards is study the bible, set that as your benchmark and let the rest get on with their chosen pathway.

How to Find The TRUTH

In these terrible times we are living in many people are turning to religion to find some sort of hope and comfort.

However, they are often finding there are so many differences of belief, almost a “pick ‘n’ mix” where you can suit yourself, as to what you want to believe, literally choosing what suits you.

So how can we find the truth?

Is there a true Religion?

When Jesus was on earth he made a simple statement about how to identify the true religion. He said at Matthew 7: 16 “by their fruits you will recognize them”

The Bible presents those identifying characteristics as:

  1. Teaches the truth based on God’s Word the bible, not on human philosophy or ideology. This includes the truth about the “Soul” (Psalms 37:29) and the hope of everlasting life on a paradise earth (Isaiah 35: 5,6)
  2. The true religion helps to know God – teaching his personal name Jehovah (Psalm 83: 18)
  3. Focuses on Jesus Christ and God’s Kingdom as mankind’s only hope
  4. Promoting unselfish love and respect for all races and cultures (Acts 10: 34,35)
  5. the true religion is a way of life; its followers keep gods high moral standards in all areas of life and find joy in their worship.

These are just five points aspects of the true religion Jesus spoke of. The bible encourages us follow a religion not because it suits us and our lifestyle but that it is clean and undefiled from the standpoint of God James 1: 27.
