World War III – Can you Survive?

Russia threatens nuclear war over the NATO reaction and response to the annexing of the Ukraine. It is an issue that is frightening many is that this conflict will lead to the Bible War of Armageddon.

There are clear difference between the War in Europe, Nuclear and Armageddon. These are worth reviewing. Humanity is threatened by the posturing of Russia and there could be a nuclear incident but is this Armageddon?

Well lets check the Bible description – Revelation 16: 14 “For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.” then verse 16 “And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.”

Nations are not fighting each other they have a common opponent – GOD! This war is further described in Revelation 19: 19 “And I saw the wild beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the one seated on the horse and against his army”.

The Nations Join together

The Bible refers to the coalition of Nations who decide to turn against religion, and the idea that God’s Kingdom has any right to rule. So they gather themselves, led by the international mouth piece – again identified in the Bible, this global grouping of the nations thinks it has established peace as the words in 1 Thessalonians 5: 1 “Now as for the times and the seasons, brothers, you need nothing to be written to you.2 For you yourselves know very well that Jehovah’s day is coming exactly as a thief in the night. Whenever it is that they are saying, “Peace and security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly on them, just like birth pains on a pregnant woman, and they will by no means escape

The entertainment and film industry have long projected to people that this is a war they can win. However, fighting the power and armies of God is not like fighting “Aliens”. The human resolve will fail in this battle and the outcome is one that individuals find unpalatable because they assume the Religions reflect what Theocracy is like. For example, Islam and some sects of Christianity (like Catholicism) have painted God to harsh, unforgiving and cruel.

Life now is brutal, cruel, worthless and without hope, be honest with yourself do you really see this way of life prevailing and establishing real peace? Humans can’t rule humans because they dominate and damage.

So will the conflict and threat of Nuclear War herald Armageddon? No! This is a war between Governments and Humans Armageddon is a war against God.

The outcome is assured there are those who will survive so now is the time to do all we can to understand what is really happening in the World. We do not need to be afraid, although facing an uncertain period we know and are confident that Jehovah God has provided the route for survival but like all survival guides you have to read it , consult it and follow it. Something billions are not prepared to do.

The answer is simple to find out more let the Bible answer the question

Is Hell a place of torment?

Luke 16 introduces the Rich Man and Lazarus where in verse 23 “And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.” For many, this explains the difference between Heaven and Hell.

Jesus’ words are very clear, two locations separated by a chasm that cannot be breached or crossed. Hell is depicted as a place of torment. In the original Greek, this is translated as Hades the place of the dead which is translated from the Hebrew Sheol. Bible scholars agree that the meaning of the word is the “Grave” or “Pit”.

The condition of the Dead – Old Testament

The Douay Version of the Bible renders Ecclesiastes 9: 10 “Neither work, nor reason, nor wisdom, nor knowledge, shall be in hell.” and the words of the Psalmist in 31: 17 “Let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave [hell, Douay-Rheims].”

So a place of silence and no activity, Psalm 146: 3 “Do not put your trust in princes Nor in a son of man, who cannot bring salvation. 4 His spirit goes out, he returns to the ground; On that very day his thoughts perish.”

Ecclesiastes 9: 4 There is hope for whoever is among the living, because a live dog is better off than a dead lion.5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all, nor do they have any more reward, because all memory of them is forgotten.6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they no longer have any share in what is done under the sun.” is more specific they have no share. Consequently, we are instructed in verse 9 “Enjoy life with your beloved wife all the days of your futile life, which He has given you under the sun, all the days of your futility, for that is your lot in life and in your hard work at which you toil under the sun.10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave, where you are going.”

The conclusion to be drawn is – Death is the opposite of life, non-existence. Therefore, we are alive and breathing, we die ceasing to exist and our body is placed in the ground – a grave, pit, hades or hell.

What about the New Testament

Let’s start with a simple statement made by the Apostle Paul in Romans 6: 23 “The wages sin pays is death.” the consequence of death he explains in Romans 6: 7 “the one who has died has been acquitted from his sin.” Those who have died have paid the price for the sins of their life. Not a mention of torment.

The Gospels also explain that we are drawn to God by his love not fear of torment or punishment.

There is another point often lost on those who believe in hell and everlasting torment Acts 2:31: “He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell.”—King James Version. Meaning that Jesus Christ went to hell (the Grave) when he died. It is unthinkable to conclude that a righteous man would be tormented forever in Hell for sins he didn’t commit.

Hope for the those in Hell

Revelation 20: 13 “Death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them.”—King James Version. Therefore, all those in hell are dead. They will come back to life by means of the resurrection. So where will the torment continue? How could they pay a price, then be asked to pay more?

Eventually, hell will be destroyed according to Revelation 20: 14 “Death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.”—King James Version.

So Luke 16 cannot be referring to a literal place or people. It was a parable, a story with a meaning. Jesus was explaining the religious divide between the leaders in Israel and the ordinary people.

For the account to be literal it has to fit the theme of the bible which it doesn’t, therefore, we recognise that the Bible has never taught that Hell is a place of eternal torment because the dead know nothing, feel nothing and have paid for their sins. Jesus went into hell but was raised and he hadn’t experienced or deserved to be tormented. Finally, hell is to be destroyed in the future which enables us to conclude that the doctrine originated elsewhere.

When the apostasy set in many pagan beliefs moved into Christianity and polluted the truth. Job wanted to die and go to Hell, others prayed for death also and we know that God does not torment the righteous or the unrighteous.

So we need to find the truth of the Bible and allow the Truth to clear our thinking and set us free.

Jesus’ Life, Ministry, Death and resurrection teach us much about the love of God remember the words of John 3: 16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.17 For God did not send his Son into the world for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him.18 Whoever exercises faith in him is not to be judged. Whoever does not exercise faith has been judged already, because he has not exercised faith in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.” Also, part of that process is described in John 5: 25 “Most truly I say to you, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who have paid attention will live.26 For just as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted also to the Son to have life in himself.27 And he has given him authority to do judging, because he is the Son of man.28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.30 I cannot do a single thing of my own initiative. Just as I hear, I judge, and my judgment is righteous because I seek, not my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

Choose Life without end, everlasting life in Paradise is more than a dream it is a promise from God.

The Biblical “Great Reset”

The World Economic Forum has discussed since the 1930’s the need for an Economic Reset, Extinction Rebellion demand an Environmental Reset and so many political ideologies look to a Social Reset.

The idea that the reset will prevent everyone is punished for the errors of the past often sparks the the flames of revolution.

Conspiracy theorists look at the events happening around the globe and promote the idea that humanity is approaching a reset point. They are absolutely correct!

The Bible Sets out the present

In describing the period before the point of reset the bible discusses what life is going to be like note the words of Paul to Timothy – 2 Timothy 3: 1-5 “But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here.2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal,3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness,4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God,5 having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away.” A very simple description of a world without god.

For those with a faith and who are prepared to share it what reception do they receive? 2 Peter 3: 3 “First of all know this, that in the last days ridiculers will come with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires4 and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep in death, all things are continuing exactly as they were from creation’s beginning.”

But how is this the total reset conspiracy theorists are talking about?

The last days must end and something new must be introduced. James 5: 1-3 “Come, now, you rich men, weep and wail over the miseries that are coming upon you.2 Your riches have rotted, and your clothing has become moth-eaten.3 Your gold and silver have rusted away, and their rust will be a witness against you and will consume your flesh. What you have stored up will be like a fire in the last days.” Silver and Gold are of no value or use. The currency that does work is faith.

Who brings the Revolution?

Revelation 6: 1-17 paints a vivid picture of an invisible conquest, that humans see the impact of and initially ignore the consequence of opposing the new king on his ride to his appointed throne.

As the King takes his throne there is war in heaven and the victor banishes his enemies to the earth, where these enemies gather the political, religious and commercial elements of humanity to face off with the Anointed King.

We are living through that period of damaging ignorance, the so called enlightened guides of today are leading society off the edge of a cliff. “SJW Thought Police” talk of hate speech when other express their personal views on morality, or the need to follow the standards of the bible. Why? Because the Bible is clear in why certain practices are unacceptable.

History has taught us many things but the idea that “history repeats itself” teaches us that Humans don’t listen and don’t learn.

Action today

The building has started to burn, the temperature has risen but it isn’t an immediate threat to life – so we’ll stay where we are. Does that sound like a sane person or response?

When you find a fire in a property what is the first thing you do? Get everyone out, immediately! The alarm rings until the building is made safe, it stops anyone re-entering.

So someone has shouted fire – the universal reset to God’s standards is imminent, how long do you leave it until you check out the alarm call.

From personal experience, having been in a building fire the alarm sounded and the senior person with us said it’s just a drill, but the alarm continued, so we got up to go and the person said no need to panic it’s just a drill. They went out to the landing and asked the person across the hallway if it was a drill, she didn’t know but if the senior thought it was we should ignore it.

Within two minutes large clouds of smoke engulfed the landing and it was almost too late. Why? Because we followed the poor instincts and supposed authority of others.

The moral of this if you hear the alarm check it out for yourself immediately. It will prevent unnecessary suffering and potentially death.

Jesus said the his disciples should “Preach the Good News of the Kingdom” and make more disciples because this is the way to save lives before the end comes.

When Will the World End?

People have been taught that the bible says that the will end. They confuse this statement with the idea that the planet will be destroyed and all life on it.

So to understand what the “End of the World” means we need to examine what the Bible meaning of “World”.

In the Bible the word translated as “world” is “Kosmos” [or in English “Cosmos”] which refers to people or society not the planet. For example, Cosmos is the root of Cosmopolitan. Therefore, the early Christians understood that the “End of the World” referred to the people and society.

The Bible is specific in identifying the “world” that is coming to an end as those who have rejected God, his standards and have no desire to recognise him as the creator and rightful ruler.

The biblical example is 2 Peter 2:5 “And he did not refrain from punishing an ancient world, but kept Noah, a preacher of righteousness, safe with seven others when he brought a flood upon a world of ungodly people”

Note that he Peter uses the “world” to identify the ungodly people.

The earth was not destroyed nor did all of the animals die rather God protected his servants, Noah and his family. The Biblical account of the Flood demonstrates that it is humankind who is in line for judgement.

The Biblical Contrast

Psalm 37: 9 – 11 provides a more detailed contrast note the words of the Psalmist – “For evil men will be done away with, But those hoping in Jehovah will possess the earth. ו [Waw]10 Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, And they will not be there. 11 But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.”

In verse 29 the promise for the loyal worshippers of God “The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it.”

Peace, security, honesty, loyalty and the absence of fear and harm is only achieved by removing the root cause and healing the symptoms. It will take time to repair the damage but the effect of this transformation will last forever.

What would make life worth living then?

We often hear people say “I wouldn’t want to live forever”. Ask them what day would they choose to die? Or remind them that they are not forced or coerced if they don’t want to live without:

  • Pain
  • Sickness
  • Death
  • Famine
  • War
  • Corruption
  • Crime
  • Injustice

The promise of everlasting life is for those who understand the importance of their relationship with the creator. These ones have read the prophetic words at 2 Timothy 3: 1- 5 “But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here.2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal,3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness,4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God,5 having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away.”

They understand we are living in those times right and as it is the “last days” and it is the time that God has chosen to act however, the choice of survival is ours.

The “world” is coming to an end, individuals who don’t want to follow the standards that promote peace will be destroyed note the words in Revelation 11: 18 “But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time came for the dead to be judged and to reward your slaves the prophets and the holy ones and those fearing your name, the small and the great, and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth.”

Those who chose to fight against God – the nations or the world will be judged and those ruining the earth in any way will be brought to their end.

Will we choose to survive the “End of the World”? Prepare to day for survival – Study the Bible and understand that we live in the time of the end.
