2.2 billion Christians

There are almost 8 billion lives on the planet, a quarter claim to follow Jesus Christ. It is time to ask do those who claim to be Christians reflect the qualities of Jesus Christ?

Many would shout Yes! pointing the great works of charity done in the name of Christ. These reflect the attitide of those identified in Matthew 7: 21 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of the heavens, but only the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.22 Many will say to me in that day: ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’23 And then I will declare to them: ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’

We have to ask “am I following Jesus as he would want?”

Three things to reflect on:

  1. God’s Kingdom was the focus of Jesus life – is the focus of my life?
  2. Preaching and teaching were in his ministry – do I preach and teach others about God’s Kingdom? The best news for suffering humanity!
  3. Do I worship the God Jesus taught us to pray to?

This year is ending on yet another low note. COVID-19 is still with us, the world is facing ecnomic and environmental disaster, politically there is little leaders can do to stem the global misery, Europe has a war and Russia continues to threaten. Notice jesus words at Luke 21: 25 “Also, there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth anguish of nations not knowing the way out because of the roaring of the sea and its agitation.26 People will become faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.27 And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.28 But as these things start to occur, stand up straight and lift up your heads, because your deliverance is getting near.”

Therefore Christians need not be afraid of the future rather they need to explain what God’s Kingdom is doing and will do to resolve the calamity facing the planet.

In the Revelation the Apostle John heard those before the throne of God thanking Jehovah for salvation but notice how the verses continue Revelation 11: 18 “But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time came for the dead to be judged and to reward your slaves the prophets and the holy ones and those fearing your name, the small and the great, and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth.”

Here is the question – Why aren’t 2.2 billion Christians pointing to the promise of salvation? Why are they fighting in wars? Voting in a political system that is flawed? We go back to Matthew 7 and Matthew 25, not everyone claiming to be a Christian is recognised by Jesus. Not everyone saying “Lord, Lord”,

Changing standards

Minority opinions and life styles have been accepted into the Churches, particularly Christianity. Now one incident of how changing standards confuse people.

Until recently religious groups of all faiths had received funding through tax resourced grants. The grants were made to the groups based on the faith of the subscribers, a simple calculation. However, recently that has changed. To receive the grants the religious group must accept secular standards, allowing thosewho practice or live in a alternative life stlye choice to remain members of the congregations. Churches have taken the line of least resistance and made the changes carry on as usual.

Now principles spring to mind – “We must obey God as ruler rather than man (governments)”. To prove faithful we must “obey Gods commandments” Jehovah is the arbitor of what is right not society.

So faiths like Jehovah’s Witnesses no longer receive the grants. It is expacted other countries will remove their tax concessions in the future. However, the majority of Christians just alter the rules.

Jesus was unpopular, radical, peaceful, kind, and focused on the future. His followers (Christians) we loving, peaceable, morally clean and committed to following in Jesus footsteps. How many of the 2.2 billion individuals claiming to follow Christ today even attempt to follow The Christ?

Britain is now officially a secular state with saying they have no religion and yet their god whom they worship is very clear. The whole world is controlled by one God and his aim is to ensure that those living today will be destroyed.

Armageddon – something to fear?

This has to be given some thought because the answer is both Yes and No!. The reason is who side you are on.

One thing unites world governments

Governments perceive that Armageddon is the ultimate War that destroys the earth, yet that is not an accurate understanding of the scriptures.

The final book of the New Testament – The Revelation written to John or known by many as The Apocalypse chapter 16 and verse 16 reads “And they gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew Har-magedon”

Lets ask the obvious question who is the “they” referred to in this text? Let’s begin with the context John sees bowls of denunciation and judgement poured out in sequence, the War spoken of is the climax of the sixth bowl.

Therefore, lets begin with the out pouring of that bowl, Revelation 16: 12 “And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.”

We know fro9m the overall context of the visions these events were to occur in a period identified as the “last days” or as many like to refer to them as “end times”. Therefore, the information is not literal, we are not to expect that suddenly the River Euphrates will stop flowing, rather this refers to the state of humanity and the attachment to religion and faith. The Great River Euphrates ran through Babylon and we are witnessing the number of those who claim to have a faith dry up. Also, as a Political power we are watching Governments struggle to convince their fellow citizens that they have the best solution. Therefore, as the water and seas are often a reference to the state of Humankind we are looking at the evidence today of dwindling support for the established way of life.

That seems quite simple but note the next part of the prophetic vision Revelation 16: 13 “And I saw three unclean inspired expressions that looked like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the wild beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Okay, so we have three protagonists in this part of the vision, these have already been identified in the earlier parts of “The Dragon” in chapter 12 is Satan the Devil and he has positioned himself against God’s Kingdom. The other characters are linked to the authority he has given them as he rules the world 1 John 5: 19.

Looking at their single purpose “they go out to the kings of the entire inhabited earth, to gather them together to the war of the great day of God the Almighty.”

Armageddon is a war led by Satan, using human rulers to fight against God’s Kingdom. What do you think the outcome will be. Revelation 17 begins with the destruction of the Harlot or world religion – the rulers of the world will take the lead in this

Revelation 18 : 4 “And I heard another voice out of heaven say: “Get out of her, my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues.” So we know we can escape that part of the destruction or the war that is coming.

Revelation 19 reminds us that salvation is with God, the one fighting as Champion against the Devil is identified – the invincible warrior king Jesus Christ. Then note Revelation 19: 19 “And I saw the wild beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the one seated on the horse and against his army.20 And the wild beast was caught, and along with it the false prophet that performed in front of it the signs with which he misled those who received the mark of the wild beast and those who worship its image. While still alive, they both were hurled into the fiery lake that burns with sulfur.21 But the rest were killed off with the long sword that proceeded out of the mouth of the one seated on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.” Human rulers and those who follow them cannot be victorious because they are fighting against God. So Armageddon is a moment in time when Human Rulers turn their attention to removing all of those who follow God’s Kingdom. They align themselves with the invisible Satanic creatures who are ensuring they are destroyed.

Revelation 20 and 21 explain that those on the side of God’s Kingdom will survive, it also describes the resurrection of the dead and the final war between invisible creatures.

We are involved. Satan taunted Jehovah that like Job we only serve God for what we get out of it. However, the survivors answer that challenge with the critical words in Revelation 19:1After this I heard what seemed to be a loud voice of a great crowd in heaven. They said: “Praise Jah! The salvation and the glory and the power belong to our God,2 because his judgments are true and righteous. For he has executed judgment on the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality, and he has avenged the blood of his slaves that is on her hands.”3 And right away for the second time they said: “Praise Jah! And the smoke from her goes on ascending forever and ever.”

How Does the Bible help us today?

Many people view the Bible as simply a book, an old book, a ‘good book’ also as an out-of-date and ‘irrelevant” to modern life.

Yet the Bible has answer to the questions we all have, what does the future hold? What happens when we die? and will we ever see peace on earth?

It says of itself in Psalm 119: 105 Your word is a lamp to my foot, And a light for my path.

This describes the Bible as the Light that can guide us. As well as answering the big questions, it also gives solid advice on everyday things:-

  • how to find and keep a good friend
  • how to cope with stress
  • how to find a real purpose and contentment in life

It also as Romans 15: 4 For all the things that were written beforehand were written for our instruction, so that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope. The scriptures offer us comfort that we might have hope. The hope is the prospect of being able to “Enjoy Life Forever” in a paradise here on the earth free from war, hunger and death.

Freedom from Oppression

Historically there is evidence to suggest that as one form of oppression wanes another form starts, it has become like a fashion.

Since the dawn of civilisation others have decided they will dominate their neighbours. Often exploiting the fact that the majority do not stand up for themselves.

There is a parable that comes to mind – there are two wolves locked in a bitter struggle, fighting everyday, which one will win – the one you feed most. We can see that governments, religions and poswerful commercial elements have fed oppression. Why? because the oppressor has one goal to dominate another person and cause harm. Note the words at Ecclesiates 8: 9 “All of this I have seen, and I applied my heart to every work that has been done under the sun, during the time that man has dominated man to his harm.”

Is Freedom really possible?

Wherever we live on this planet we are controlled and our lives are managed by authorities, businesses and the propaganda that bombards us all. We are trapped in a cycle of allowing others to set the standards for us.

This week in the USA the great debate continues over abortion, who has the right to terminate the life of the unborn child? Does the unborn child have rights? Does the mother have an overriding say in the freedom to do what she wants with this life?

The way we live now has placed so many conflicting demands on all of us that the result is we can only look at short term solutions. Seek what is best for us as an individual. This is a real conflict. It exists because we die, always too soon and with so much unfulfilled. Therefore taking 20 years out to look after an unplanned child, or having a support circle that can help with raising the child is challenging to find.

The dilemma of true slavery. We are not enslaved or held captive by people but by death! An often quoted statement is there are two things certain in life – death and taxes are as accurate today as when they were first spoken.

We need freedom from Death to End all forms of Oppression!

Weare slaves of sin. The wages of Sin are described as death, therefore, death is the enemy. Once we have clear understanding of the real issues we see the importance of the Apostle Pauls words to the congregation in Rome. Romans 6: 6 “For we know that our old personality was nailed to the stake along with him in order for our sinful body to be made powerless, so that we should no longer go on being slaves to sin.”

So relief from oppression begins with us. We have to change our personality, to discover the real freedom that Jesus spoke of the freedom of the sons of god we need to examine the bible for ourselves.

Be clear oppression, being oppress is a choice, we can opt out. How well refer to the Bible Teachings or review the study aid “Enjoy Life Forever” know the truth and the truth will set you free Jesus stated and that is the beginning of freedom from oppression.

There Is So Much More to Life!

There is a reality that we all come to understand at some point in our lives. As an individual, we can make sense of the conclusion recorded in

Ecclesiastes 1:14, 15

14  I saw all the works that were done under the sun, And look! everything was futile, a chasing after the wind.a15  What is crooked cannot be made straight, And what is lacking cannot possibly be counted.

There is a futility in our existence, we come into the world with nothing, what we acquire through family and education can lead to the accumulation of wealth, property and influence, it can be snatched away at any time and when we eventually die we leave with nothing. We can take none of the things we own with us.

Give it a few weeks and life has carried on without us, we start to slip from the memory of friends and acquaintances.

In life, there are two constants – uncertainty of how long it will last and the certainty of death.

The future of the Human Race

The analysis of all forms of government, all economies, environments, communities, major religions and philosophies live precariously on the brink, science and technology move us all closer to extinction and the beauty of this is we can all watch it wherever we are. As never before globalisation enables us to realise that the planet, society and individual existence of all life is threatened and our survival is at stake.

Should we be bothered? “Life finds a way” as the famous quote from Jurassic Park sums up the attitude of many. The issues in Ukraine have brought home to Europe just how tenuous peace is, something that Africa, Asia, South and Central America already know. But “I’m alright Jack so pull up the ladder” or burying our heads in the sand won’t work anymore. These issues and concerns are touching all of our lives.

Governments speak of peace, have conferences, sign treaties and make great promises but what we know is just one Leader can change all of those proposals and the rest weakly stand by and do little.

Science established a way of coping with COVID but can’t cure it or eradicate it, the truth is that Governments do not want to look at how it became so prevalent, was it a mistake in a Lab? Human contact with diseased animals? Who gets a vaccine is determined on the basis of how much Money a Government has, the largest population centres are often the last to receive these vaccines and life-saving treatments. 500,000,000 people have contracted Covid 6,259,000 have died. The daily death rate has been reduced but not all the figures have been collected. Look at the Data listed on Worldometer to review the staggering impact humans have on this planet as we race towards a population of 8 billion. Then recognise that 12 nations have the capacity to kill everything on the planet in less than 24 hours. Humanity must realise just how futile life is. Like trying to control the tide.

Christian religions

They speak of peace but bless weapons of war, tell people that God is on their side and he fights for them. What outstanding hypocrisy! Hope does not originate with the peddlers of their own importance.

The Christian leaders are clearly instructed to “Seek first the ‘Kingdom'”. The Kingdom they have taught Christians to repeatedly pray for in Matthew 6: 9, 10 “Thy Kingdom Come!” is God’s Kingdom.

We inherited the problems we face today, the human condition, alienation from God, a lack of real understanding. The Bible explains what happened, why it happened and when things are set to change! To find the real meaning or purpose of life we need to address these issues.

In law, ignorance isn’t a defence because we have a responsibility to find the information, establish the facts and apply them. Yet so many settle for the word of others. In a recent conversation, it was made clear to me that Bible accounts were as accurate as Greek and Roman Myths and local legends. So the first question was which had the person read the Bible or Homer? Unsurprisingly the person responded with neither.

The conclusion they had drawn was based on what others had told him. How foolish, note the words of the proverb “When anyone replies to a matter before he hears the facts, It is foolish and humiliating.”

We have a real choice today, find out what is really going on and be ready for the consequences or just let things carry on as normal, hoping that some miracle will happen and humans will learn to live in peace without the threat of extinction.

The clear point of this post is that if you agree that there should be so much more to life then don’t wait for someone else to tell you, Study the Bible, get to the truth of why things are the way they are.

Establish for yourself that there is more to life now and that the future is full of hope, we continue to pray for God’s will to be done on earth, research what that will is and how you are already in line for access but more needs to be done.

You can Enjoy Life Forever and that life is full of meaning and opportunity. First, you need to discover what is required to line up with the millions looking forward to God’s Kingdom Government led by Jesus Christ

Response to the assertion that: God Both Causes and Punishes Sin

I recently read the Blog Perfect Chaos by Stephen Colborne the London Based philosopher – I found the title intriguing and the reasoning disturbing until I reread it. This is a post that covers the personal conclusions reached after years of study.

Interestingly, I began my personal search for understanding the reasons for Sin and the punishment, really the outcome, death. This led me to a very different conclusion.

God Does not Cause or Punish Sin!

The source material for this conclusion is not philosophy or personal enlightenment it is the product of studying the Bible. Let’s begin with the notion that God is Omnipresent not to be confused with Omniscient (all-wise).

The Bible clearly states in Hebrews 4: 13 “And there is not a creation that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and openly exposed to the eyes of the one to whom we must give an account.” He sees all things. However, there is no evidence to support the conclusion that God is Omnipresent – is present everywhere, in all things.

The Bible clearly identifies that God has form, is a spirit and has a dwelling place. Just start the research with John 4: 24 “God is a Spirit” The bible also identifies that there are millions of spirit creatures in heaven – the residing place of God 1 Kings 8: 30 “his dwelling place in the heavens”.

Sin

Sin had a beginning. The bible explains how it came about in 1 John 3: 8 “He who carries on sin originates with the Devil, because the Devil has been sinning from the beginning.” Sin originated not with humans but in the spirit realm with the Slanderer and Resister Satan the Devil.

James 1: 14, “But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed* by his own desire. 15 Then the desire, when it has become fertile,* gives birth to sin; in turn sin, when it has been carried out, brings forth death.” Satan wanted something he couldn’t have and he exercised his free will to rebel. Not content with the personal separation from God he decided he would take others with him, in the heavens and here on earth.

Eve was deceived and Adam followed by taking a side against God and rebelling. Again exercising free will.

The outcome? is recorded in Romans 6: 23 “For the wages sin pays is death,..”

Sin is defined as falling short of the mark or standard, in this case, God’s standard. Therefore, we have another choice do I perpetuate the outcome of sin or do I seek salvation? Simple enough.

The disciple James came to this conclusion about God and answers the point is God the cause of our sins and our suffering? note the words in James 1: 13 “When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone.14 But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire.15 Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn sin, when it has been carried out, brings forth death.” Clearly, the half brother of Jesus understood that God neither causes sin nor tempts us with sin to test us.

Punishment for Sin

It is strange how unequivocal the Bible is about the outcome of sin. Go back to to the original response from God for both Satan and Adam in Genesis 3: 3 “But God has said about the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden: ‘You must not eat from it, no, you must not touch it; otherwise you will die.’” Only outcome death! Genesis 3: 15 “And I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your offspring and her offspring. He will crush your head, and you will strike him in the heel.”

There’s never a discussion about God punishing us, the Bible points to another being the ruler of the world in 1 John 5: 19 “We know that we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” This individual veils the message of salvation notice the point at 2 Corinthians 4: 4 “among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.”

In conclusion a study of the Bible and allowing the Bible to explain itself we can clearly determine that there is much more to the human state and we have personal responsibility for how our future looks.

The Bible describes God as Love therefore, why do we suffer, why do we have trials and problems? why do we die? those questions are answered using the Bible Study Aid Enjoy Life Forever. Download a personal copy along with a bible and start your research.

Spiritual Values

Over the course of human history, every generation has felt some need to answer the question “what are spiritual values?” Do you think it really matters if you believe in a God? Or, that God has communicated with us through the acts of creation?

Millions of educated and academic people today have rejected the concept of “God” and looked at the idea that all things have spirituality, or there is only the current reality and nothing else to look forward to.

For those who believe in God as something or someone note the words of the Disciple James 2: 19 “You believe that there is one God, do you? You are doing quite well. And yet the demons believe and shudder.”

For those who don’t believe in one God the words of the Psalmist come to mind in Psalm 10: 4 “In his haughtiness, the wicked man makes no investigation; All his thoughts are: “There is no God.”

For many the view is expressed in Malachi 3: 14 “You say, ‘It is of no value to serve God…”

The person with Spiritual Values

However, for those still trying to determine things and the future who have real questions they want answered note the words in 1 Corinthians 2: 15 “However, the spiritual man examines all things, but he himself is not examined by any man” Spiritual values begin by asking questions, examining all things.

Therefore, we need to immerse ourselves in the study of God, the dealings that humanity has experienced and the reasons fo0r our current state.

  • Do you believe God is to blame for the world we live in?
  • Do you think he is intent on torturing people for eternity because of their failings over a short life span?
  • Have you set the date on which you wish to die?
  • Do you have deep questions about why we exist? Why the battle between good and evil?

All of these questions bother someone with spiritual values. The suffering of others is wrong and it is unnatural to look on and do nothing. Yet, governments talk about peace but leave the people of Yemen, Ukraine and so many other places to suffer at the hands of violent rulers.

The governments talk about global warming but again fail to make the simple cuts that would benefit the planet and generations to come.

People get rich on the exploitation of others, does this reflect who we are? I have asked many people if they would do something if they could and 90% have always said: “of course”. So the person with spiritual values realises that God is not ignoring the plight of individuals, he will step in a do something.

Daniel 2: 44 “In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever,..” The global destruction of governments and then replacement by one Kingdom. Intervention at a specific point in time. What does this achieve? Revelation 11: 18 “But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time came for the dead to be judged and to reward your slaves the prophets and the holy ones and those fearing your name, the small and the great, and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth.”

God’s Kingdom allows the Human Governments to wage war with his government, this leads to the cleansing of the earth.

Now the person with spiritual values asks who will be saved? and can my family and I be among them? The answer is yes, however, Jesus explained what is required John 17: 3 “This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.”

Once we have come to know God and Christ Jesus Romans 10: 10 “For with the heart one exercises faith for righteousness, but with the mouth one makes public declaration for salvation.” and Psalm 25: 5 “Cause me to walk in your truth and teach me, For you are my God of salvation. ו [Waw] In you I hope all day long.”

So the person with spiritual values is being taught by God’s Word, accepts there is only one God, that Salvation is through Jesus who gave his life for humanity and we walk in the truth. For we know the truth and it sets us free.

Our God is loyal, just, and righteous, the time has come for the nations to be judged and the person with spiritual values is making an earnest effort to live by God’s standards.

Look who the Secretary was told to mark for salvation in Ezekiel 9: 4 “Jehovah said to him: “Go through the city, through Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who are sighing and groaning over all the detestable things that are being done in the city.”

Spiritual values set us apart from the crowds, so life will be lonely and it will be a challenge to follow those values but the words of Jesus resonate for us in Matthew 24: 13 “But the one who has endured to the end will be saved.”

Appropriation – Religious Holidays

When you think of Pagan rituals and the impact on those who participate as a Christian the idea is incompatible with your beliefs. And yet?

Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Saints days often have their origins in Paganism. This was the reult of delibrate deception by the Church.

The Principle

James 3: 10b “My brothers, it is not right for things to happen this way.11 A spring does not cause the fresh water and the bitter water to bubble out of the same opening, does it?12 My brothers, a fig tree cannot produce olives, or a grapevine figs, can it? Neither can salt water produce fresh water.” You can’t separate contamination by looking at it. It has to be filtered out. Once poison is introduced to a glass of water the whole glass is contaminated.

The same applies to Christianty. We must filter out and cleanse our understanding of the Christianity by returning to the source Jesus Christ, the Apostles and God’s Word the Bible.

The remedy requires action on our part James 4: 4  “Adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever, therefore, wants to be a friend of the world is making himself an enemy of God.” When speaking of the World James refers to the those separated from Jesus teaching – the Pagan Nations and religions.

It is unthinkable that Jesus and the Apostles would have accepted the practices of Pagan rituals when they condemned the Jews for missing the point of the law and prophets, poluting the Word of God.

Throw off the burdens and shackles of the Church, Easter Bunnies may be cute but look at the origin, is this something Jesus would have been involved in? If not then stop now and find out how to develop the right form of Faith, look at this time off year with the appropriate reason for rejoicing it has nothing to do with sweets and treats it is the gift of Life given by the perfect man Jesus.

Join us to remember his sacrifice and find out why we rejoice in the death and resurrection of Jesus – the Memorial of Jesus Death is being commemorated locally, so look on liine for the closest venue you can attand or get in touch and watch the programme remotely.

Was God Lonely?

The Bible’s opening words at Genesis 1: 1 “In the beginning God Created the heavens and the earth. ” You may ask why? and Colossians 1: 13 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;” says of Jesus. So do we conclude that God was lonely?

No! 1 John 4: 8 explains that “God is love” his desire to create life comes from that unselfish love. With our limited capacity and direct knowledge we can discern that it is similar to the desire to become a parent. Very few of us think that we are perpetuating the human race by having children, we have a family because something conceived in love or out of passion gives evidence of that love we share.

Therefore, humans are an expression of God’s love. As are Angels, the Universe and everything he does.

This draws millions to serve him, to share bible truth and explain just what God’s purpose is for humankind.

What did God Create?

We’re told he created the earth to last forever, he put the first humans and animals in a beautiful garden, that paradise home known as Eden.

All of the natural cycles that keep our home clean, our air breathable, our planet producing all that we need. Nothing left to chance.

Therefore, we know God created everything.

So what went wrong?

One Angel looked at the relationship humans had with God and decided he wanted to have some of the glory, based on his desire he reached out to Eve and deceived her, Adam responded to the news that Eve had eaten the fruit by rebeling against God.

It wasn’t imperfection it was a decision bourne of self interest and without regard for those who would follow. That single act of rebellion established a challenge, that we as individuals only serve god for what we get out of the relationship. The account at Job 1: 7 “Then Jehovah said to Satan: “Where have you come from?” Satan answered Jehovah: “From roving about on the earth and from walking about in it.”8 And Jehovah said to Satan: “Have you taken note of my servant Job? There is no one like him on the earth. He is an upright man of integrity, fearing God and shunning what is bad.”9 At that Satan answered Jehovah: “Is it for nothing that Job has feared God?10 Have you not put up a protective hedge around him and his house and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his livestock has spread out in the land.11 But, for a change, stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your very face.”12 Then Jehovah said to Satan: “Look! Everything that he has is in your hand. Only do not lay your hand on the man himself!” So Satan went out from the presence of Jehovah”.

Yes Satan asked this question not just of Job but all humans “Is it for nothing that Job has feared God?” It is an issue that involves each one of us.

Now even in a sinful state God blesses his servants but Satan is saying that this is the only reason why people want to worship him.

None of us can satisfactorily answer that challenge because we all sin. Therefore, we need to find someone who will redemm us.

This is the greatest act of kindness – God sent his only begotten son as a ransom for humans, living now, in the past and those who have the promise of life in the future.

This is a the “Good News” Christ died for our sins so that we can be reconciled to God and once again enjoy the relationship with the Creator Satan and Adam spurned.

To accept this redemption price we need to know the key issues and how we are to address them. John 17: 3 “This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.” is the key for our research.

Move away from theology, the views of those who claim to be educated – you know the ones that sap every grain of hope from our hearts. They focus on research over feeding the poor, there is enough money in circulation to eradicate food shortage and famine even when crops fail. Greed and self interest make the moral response impossible. On the one hand Governments finance weapons and the population finance the relif work and rebuilding through acts of charity. The logic of putting money into weapons that perpetuate warfare rather than putting the equivalent into the public services just demonstrates how warped the reasoning is of those who educate and lead us.

So go back to the beginning, why did God create when he was complete? what did he expect? what is his purpose? is there more to life? find the answers in the bible.

Preach for the Kingdom of the Heavens has drawn near!

Powerful words were spoken by Jesus and the theme of his ministry, the Good News – Gospel of the Kingdom. Matthew 24: 14.

Although the world slips further and deeper into turmoil we have Good News.

Common Needs

The primary needs we think of are:

  1. Food
  2. Clothing
  3. Shelter

However, Jesus made an interesting statement about life and what it really requires to be productive and meaningful Matthew 4: 4 “But he answered: “It is written: ‘Man must live, not on bread alone, but on every word that comes from Jehovah’s mouth.’” In chapter 5 he begins the happiness list with verse 3 “Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need, since the Kingdom of the heavens belongs to them.

So the common needs are physical, emotional and spiritual. The balance of these needs keeps us alive.

Think about it food without exercise is damaging, life without emotional support is lonely and often hollow, life without spiritual things is lacking “Hope”. Hope is the product of Faith because we see the meaning of things that have yet to unfold and understand the meaning.

The Kingdom Manifesto

Jesus made it clear as the empowered ruler of that kingdom his government heal the sick, feed the starving, housed the homeless, provided equality, equity and justice. Things other rulers have desired.

There are no boundaries in truth the immigration policy is very simple, to become a citizen, learn the rules, accept the direction and leadership of the assigned government, demonstrate you live up to these standards, dedicate your life (swear allegiance to God), show everyone else by getting baptised and never get involved in the affairs of any other country.

This creates a place where there are no wars, it pays to be honest and kind, colour, ethnicity and culture are left at the border along with ego and the desire to get rich. The aim of these people is to share the bounties of life and ensure peace. Not through an absence of conflict based on who is the strongest but based on the determination to live by the golden rule.

La La Land

If you have determined this is impossible and those who believe it living in La La Land then probably your mind is made up that we have no real control over our future. We live and die, becoming fertilizer for future generations.

However, if this is the life you really want then find out why Jesus, his followers and millions of people today have put their trust in God and pray fervently for his “kingdom to come,” his “will to be done, as it is in heaven here on the earth”

To find out more study the bible and look at what the Kingdom of the Heavens has achieved to this time and what it is poised to achieve now. Enjoy Life and Choose Life because it is offered to you personally as the reward for advocating the Kingdom of the heavens.

When you see these things start to occur – lift up your head because your deliverance is near.

To those in the Ukraine and Russia remember human governments create borders but God’s Kingdom is Universal so staking out a plot in someone else’s kingdom inevitably leads to confrontation and those who have chosen God’s Kingdom will only need to stay firm, remain courageous and they will see the salvation of the living God Jehovah.
