At this time of year, many people are reflecting on the past year and then setting goals for the future or wondering what things will look like? Just what will the New Year bring?
Humanity has suffered during 2021 – the pandemic, more natural disasters and loss of life due to the events, war famine and social unrest plus the personal economic pressures present a short-list, but we have all had additional issues and problems to deal with.
They are the problems of today and yesterday but what of the future?
The Bible is accurate when it describes this period of time we live in – critical times, hard to deal with, the end times or last days because left to human solutions there will be so few of us left. Yet the bible promise is that when we see these times we aren’t to lose our faith, rather we should “stand up!” (Luke 21: 28) because deliverance is at hand.
Jehovah opens the future to us by telling us about the present, even though it was written 2000 years ago and through the Bible, he explained what his Kingdom would achieve for Humanity. Note the words in Revelation 21: 4, 5 “And God himself will be with them.4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”5 And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new”.
Christians have prayed for God’s Kingdom for 2,000, the unfolding of history indicates that the bible record is accurate when it discusses human rulership, the outcomes and the present world conditions. Therefore, through personal research and study, we can establish for ourselves that God’s promises are to be relied upon.
The world is heading for its’ own reckoning so it is time to choose what side we are on. Find out more through a detailed study of the Bible with the assistance of a local Christian who has taken those steps and made the promises of God certain for themselves.
