Is Time Running Out?

Every ‘end of the world’ scenario has been discussed or written about and we have seen depictions on screen but now more people are concerned about the end of life on this beautiful planet. So we ask the question “Is Time Running Out?”

The tragic and dire state of our planet and the world of humans was foretold in bible prophesy, almost 2,000 years ago. However, the bible also offers hope, yes a bright future after the darkest time in Human history has passed.

We can’t dismiss these promises because the prophetic words have come true and we have seen them fulfilled in great detail.

An example of the prophesy:

Matthew 24: 7 – “Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another.” Just think about modern warfare, no longer are the professional soldiers the only casualties on the battlefield, everyone is threatened by terrorism, weapons of mass destruction and cyber attacks.

There are more than 40 active conflicts in the world today and this affects real people. Many have survive the wars to be afflicted by famine and disease again prophesied in the warning of the last days.

Reason for the lack of control

The bible explains this here are three verses that point to the sense of hopelessness

  • “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.”—Proverbs 14:12.
  • “Man has dominated man to his harm.”—Ecclesiastes 8:9.
  • “It does not belong to man . . . even to direct his step.”—Jeremiah 10:23.

As the basis for hope also comes from the bible we have established that the dire or critical times were prophesied now lets review some reasons for real hope.

  • God “has established the earth on its foundations; it will not be moved from its place forever and ever.”—Psalm 104:5.
  • “A generation is going, and a generation is coming, but the earth remains forever.”—Ecclesiastes 1:4.

A balanced view establishes the need to explore the evidence closely, this article [link] presents compelling reasons for our hope and the explains the bible’s assurance that Humans “will not die off from pollution, lack of food and water, or a global pandemic. The world will not be destroyed in a nuclear holocaust.”
